Of course it's not. If it was, I wouldn't be paying for anything. He'd be paying $1350.

Anyway, if you have a problem with that, then you shouldn't mind her only cooking for herself and cleaning up after herself only. Like roommates do.It's not fair that both are working and paying the same, but you expect her to cook and clean as well. & there is no point in living with a gf/bf if y'all are going to live as roommates. That's a waste of time and money, especially when things end. You may as well have stayed living seperately.

You and your gf can play roommates. Me and my bf/husband will not. :queen:
LoL @ this shyt....:laff::laff::laff:.....little girls and their motherfukking fantasies....I pay a mortgage little girl I don't rent....when you get older and find yourself alone....it's because of your unrealistic demands....:russ:....

Financial obligations: Equally divided, depending upon finances of each party, if I make more, I'll contribute slightly more, and the opposite applies.

Care of household/responsibilities: Equally divided I don't need or want a maid, or personal chef, nor do I intend to be one. No expectations (of either party) of cooking or cleaning beyond just general cleanliness and common courtesy.

*I don't intend to live with a women, or anyone, for the time being, in a rented apartment or home, unless we are talking multiple bedroom style homes, or 3,000 foot lofts or condos.

He should pay all of the rent. I would pay the "everything else".

Your gf/wife isn't your roomate, y'all are a team.

Half and half is for roommates.

All this drip on me
The correct answer is:

It's circumstantial.

It simply depends on the mutual understanding both parties agreed upon before they we're in the relationship. So if you're involved with a S/O who understood that both of you preferred to live out a more traditional man/woman relationship dynamic - then you'll have to pay at least the majority of it or maybe all of it because you're the man (aka the provider). On the other hand, if you and your S/O subscribe to a more modern idea of a relationship where you both build together, respect each other's role as equals and as self-sufficient individuals before you both met, then you'll likely pay half or whatever you & your woman agree that is fair.

I don't care if you rent or not, I didn't even ask. I don't even care about your opinion on this, but you clearly care about mine. I replied to op and you quoted me first, as usual with mess.

There are plenty of men who don't mind or prefer to pay for majority of things and let their wives handle the small bills or no bills at all and just cook and clean. Especially if that man knows he makes more than his wife/gf. Just because you are not one of the preferred type of men, doesn't mean they don't exist.

As I said in my last post. If you can find someone to play roommate, good for you. I don't really care. Do what you want with whoever will allow it, and I will do the same. :queen:

I've seen that play out, she buys the assets and he's sinking money in to rent. When the break up comes everything is in her name....nope, not in 2017
