How can you be a top 5 player with only 1 Most Valuable Player Award? Something isnt adding up. Thats the most powerful part of a players individual resume.

Who made mvp's the standard of top 5? I am going by what the op said and kobe is top 5.

MVP awards are a joke. Media just gives it to whoever they want. point blank. Lebron should've won Rose's but of course the whole back lash from the decision. Dwight could've won Rose's too.

look at the list i posted. All those dudes with 3+ MVPs changed the game of basketball, and were completely unique. Kobe hasnt brought anything new to the game. He is a great retread of MJ but not quite at that level. Its like Larry Holmes
in comparison to Ali. Very similar, very talented, but not top 5.
