spoilers kinda ruined the ep with the mother dying
- didn't see ted and robin getting back together
- they should've skipped some of the filler parts of the eps, and focused on the aftermath of his wife dying, and ted and robin reconnecting

Yeah instead of spending the whole season at the wedding they could have spent at least half of it exploring the future, especially the mom's death. Talk about glossing over something. You spend 9 years building her up and then she dies and you barely acknowlede it. :snoop:

haven't watched it yet i still have plenty of episodes to catch up on.
last one i watched was the one were Barney was doing all the challenges and ended up having a conversation with the mother.

but my girl text me saying she hated the last 5 minutes and then ended up thinking it was the right way to go but didn't flesh it out enough.
she didn't like how quickly they glossed over the mothers death...at all...she mentioned the scene with the umbrella.

it does sum up Ted that built up and over romanticised the mother and yet she only plays a tiny part in the story and the whole thing was really about building up Robyn and wanting his kid approval to go and smash her.

another case of the studio's dragging out a show too long.. when if they finished it when planned it probably would have been a fitting finale.

Pretty much the mom was just a means of keeping him in NY with his friends, and providing him with children and something to do while Robin was on her Katie Couric steez. She was literally a stopgap prop in the true love story of Ted and Robin and her kids were all for it. :dead: :heh: shyt was one big love letter to Robin. The show was basically an emotionally damaged, commitment phobic chicks dream. No matter what may come...marriages, kids, decades that simp will always be there waiting wtih the blue horn. :wow:.

).
:ohhh: So this show was really about simping rather than finding true love lol
- the only thing That I didn't like about this ep is how empty her death felt. I really didn't know her, so I didn't really give a fukk when she died. Otherwise I felt it was a solid end that for the most part closed the chapter on each character without having something idiotic done.

the kids had no emotion at all :dead: even if its 6 years, you would think they would be more than like :whoa: why you tellin us all this instead of blowing robin's back out

they spoiled her dying a couple of weeks ago when Ted started crying at the hotel. :manny:

I had accepted the fact that she was probably going to die, even though I didn't want to believe it. What I (and probably everyone else) have a problem with was how they completely glossed over her death and then had Ted go after Robin immediately after we FINALLY saw how he met Tracy. It completely unraveled the entire premise of the show and what it had spent 9 years building up to.

Thats my biggest issue...if your mom dies when you are a kid you arent gonna take to kindly to your dad dating let alone encourage him to do so...especially with AUNT Robin. Obviously its not biological but that would still have to be kindy creepy from a kids perspective.

Not to mention they spent the whole season on the wedding and then had a divorce covered about 5 min max

:dead:
And they spent all season having the characters realize they love each other, had them get over their fears, other desires, grow as characters, and then they divorce because Robin travels too much :dahell:

Is it me or did it feel like the scenes where the kids were talking seemed to have been filmed like 7 years ago?
Yeah they were. Never realized the daughter was shorty from Nikita.

no, robin is an @sshole for having to go find herself for nine years, be a slut and fukk the best friend, and concentrate on her career, only to come back and be like this what I wanted all along bullshiet

They're all @ssholes except for Lily, who really was the only one trying to keep the group together and realized from the jump that Tracy was "the one" for Ted. Tracy is also on the non-@sshole list.
