Just read the fitness/health related threads on here and you will see why. Most of the people on here can barely run a mile without stopping and that's being generous.

I'm in a lot of those threads. We actually have more than a few runners here.

That's kind of sad but expected. I go to work and easily 85% of my coworkers haven't ran in years or decades.

Not sure why you are surprised. The average American probably never did any physical activity outside of PE. It's why I always expect fitness threads to be a bunch of nonsense because 90% of the people posting in them have no idea what they are talking about.

Running is my hobby. I don't know why ppl can't run at minimum 10k at whatever age they're at, but when it happens to me I'ma commit that.

Desk jobs or jobs in general are why people don't work out. Wake up, commute 45 minutes, work 8 to 5, commute 45 mins back. Check up on kids. Cook. Clean. And that's if you work a laid back job during slow times.

shyt takes discipline and structure to do. Waking up at 5am so you can do it before or going at 9pm after everything is done. If I was to give advice, I'd tell people to build a home gym, because going to a commercial gym, especially during winter months takes convincing. Some dumbbells, tread mill, and a jump rope should at least help people get started on the right path.

Regularly run 6 miles. If I was pushed i think 11 or 12 would be my max. Don't push myself these days I'm more about consistency
