Same...I can do three miles and some change at 5-5.5 which is usually around 30-35 mins.

My knees are fine though, I'm just out of breath after three miles :manny:
This alone puts you in rare territory anyway.

Only 6% of the population can run a 5K (3.1 miles)

You may be right but Reddit and these runner forums will have you feeling :flabbynsick: as fukk

They're usually over there like "I'm 57 and it took me almost 25 minutes to run a 5k, I'm getting slow:jawalrus: "

My back takes me out :flabbynsick:

I still be having lung power but my back locks up on me around a mile everytime.

I’ve converted to the stairmaster in the gym.

10 intense minutes on the stairmaster>>>>>30+ minutes of running/walking on the treadmill.

Last fall I ran a 30k (18.6 miles) after literally no training.. my sister wanted to do it, and I used to run decent amount years ago and couple days before I ran 8 miles and felt pretty good and thought I can give it a try

Ended up running 16.5 before my body just started to give up on me. Ended up jogging the last 2 miles

Gonna end up legit training for a 25k soon

My girl is a former D1 soccer player. Still plays at a pretty decent level. A few years away from 40. A slow 6k for her is 30 minutes on the treadmill. She got me into running and after 8 months or so I can run beyond 10k without stopping, I might slow down halfway through to catch my second wind but…once you develop that stamina you can pretty much go forever.

When I started running I was struggling to get to 3k. Just gotta be consistent and you’ll get there. And once you hit 5k then you start pushing yourself and run at your top pace until tired (which will be about halfway in) and then slow it down to finish out. Either way, just stick with it and you’ll develop the stamina.

Like breh above said, getting into running is the best decision I’ve ever made.

Depends on the pace I'm going but I could probably go 5-6 miles without stopping. Going to start training for a 5k soon so I'll find out.

I don't know but a few months ago I'd get off work and run 4 miles.

Was doing the 75 hard and that's about how far 45 minutes outside would yield

I think I could do a half marathon if I wanted too

Running is my hobby. I don't know why ppl can't run at minimum 10k at whatever age they're at, but when it happens to me I'ma commit that.

I got a treadmill 8 months ago and at first I could run maybe 1km without stopping at around 6mph. Now I can do 10km without stopping at the same 6mph. If I do 5 mph I could probably do 12-15km. I been running at least 3x a week. Lost 20 pounds, and my knees got better, less pain. Luckily I got a peloton and I just watch Netflix while running.
