hate to break it to yall but mainstream r&b & hip-hop influenced r&b have
been dead for years now.
the only r&b fans whos bellys are bloated are neo-soul heads and those that are into adult r&b.

I don't know what it is with black R&B nowadays but it's almost like it's no market for in anymore. A few years back Usher would have went gold in a week, now he'll be lucky if he reaches it by the end of the year.

usher fell off years ago when he stopped working with jermaine dupri. his numbers have been dwindling ever since and its finally caught up to him.

this is probably also part of the reason why he went pop. i dont understand why he still gets gassed up on here.
