That ain't bad considering he had no hot single for real....If Songz and Kellz join forces they could probaly do sumthing...Kellz got tracks but he just to old to be singin em at this point...for example he writes a song like "Pregnant" and gives it to Trey it woulda been a smash:manny:..better get that money Kells and monoopolize on these young hos.

At least Trey ain't go techno pop like Usher and Chris Brown..and why the fuk would he take advice from Neyo? What he doin right now numbers wise?

That was my shyt...

but it was on an album full of true r&b bangers, like dude said. I mean, "Burn" (#21 song for years 2001-2009) and "Confessions" carried that album outside of the club. The album still had a real r&b feel to it.

This current album (which isn't even that bad really) feels like a David Guetta-inspired project. The first song is a Will.I.Am. techno type track, lol. :rudy:

You don't have to dance to make r&b music. Kellz don't dance. However you do gotta dance if you wanna make house music. That Jersey Shore/Pure nightclub music is the route Neyo is taking too. Leave that shyt to Pitbull and the cacs.

R&B has been dead. Is this really a surprise. Actually all forms of black music are on there way out. Trust me.

R&B and hip hop will soon be labeled as niche music by labels.

Everything's niche these days except Pop. Rock, Hip Hop, R&B, even Country isn't doing well. You gotta hit that crossover appeal these days.

wasnt his last album was like that and it did 300k+ first week and went plat :mjpls:
Usher - OMG ft. will.i.am - YouTube

True.

That album also was promoted heavy with, "There Goes My Baby," "Papers," "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)," and even "Lil' Freak" was more r&b-ish than house music.

You'll always have the "Yeah" or "OMG" or "Love In This Club" type records ... but usually his albums are still predominantly r&b. This last one didn't have that feel.

Lol, naming all those songs on his last album just made me realize it was lowkey really good. Usher still droppin' quality albums. :wow:

U silly negros always fixate on album sales . . . u think Jive gives a fukk about him selling 128 or 300 K?

Check how the performance of the songs on the album that went 300 K did

OMG sold 7 mil singles. Basically the album grossed more off 1 single than it did with total album sales 7 million sales of the same single equates to just about 700K albums sold ..

after a while you realize why labels aren't mad that nyggas like justin bieber dont even sell 500 K first week out the gate ...

These nyggas drop a single that white bytches download 5 million time over a few months is equivalent to 500 K records.

NIcki minaj broke it down perfectly but nyggas wont get it... she said
"nyggas over here stressing over my album sales ... Starships at 3 million records sold .. basically a single grossed the same amount of money for my label as the first week of my albums .."

Its so hip hop to be focused on these artists album sales you forget that not all artists really care about big first week numbers ... thats just a hip hop fan mentality. Usher pop breh. he making way more cake now and the label is loving it

Smh @ yall really thinking that its him not singing songs like "there goes my baby" that caused it. silly negros . . .

The person who yall need to analyze is Adele she still outselling nyggas after about 80 weeks on the charts ...in 2 months her weekly sales will be on top of trey, ross, chris brown, 2 chainz ... its not how you start.. its how u finish especially in other genres besides rap

This is what happens when nikkas wanna make weak ass singles and house music instead of staying true to what got em here. Usher sold a ton of records when he was making real music. "You make me wanna" and "Nice and Slow" was certified knockers. Dude switched his style and went house/pop and been flopping since.

Confessions went diamond worldwide, wtf u talmbout? :rudy::rudy::rudy:

And for all the Kellz talk, he just dropped too and is at like 100k after 3 weeks. If Kellz, Usher, and Trigger can't even go gold in a month, it's straight up OVER for these R&b nukkas :scusthov:
