HOW do you convince yourself it’s okay to just walk by homeless people? What excuses do you use?

I work at a liquor store

Most of the $$ y'all give to homeless people goes right into the registers at my job(and indirectly into my pocket)

It's at the point that homeless people begging on the street around Atl will see me out in the city and they'll act like I don't even exist :mjlol:

Cuz they know I know the hustle

Bro idk what part of the city you are in, but I use to work in midtown and I’d take Metropolitan into the city everyday.

Under the bridge on Metro near Goldrush strip club, Kroger and Burger King is a homeless dude who sleeps under the bridge.

No lie I ride past every day and I see at least 50 Colt 45 beer cans on the ground near where his stuff is. Dude could have gotten a room in a extended stay for the amount of beer he drinks smh

I live in Seattle, cacs only are homeless here cuz they want to be so fukk em. I don't how a black person can see a homeless black person and just walk past them like they don't exist. Cacs I get because they are inherently evil and don't have souls. But ya own? I remember one time I was in Chicago and there was this one black woman and her two kids on the street and nikkas was walkin past them like they weren't even there.

Most homeless people in big cities are hustlers, they use the money you give them for drugs. They say the money is for food but its really just to buy beer or drugs.

I live in midtown but I used to see a female that worked at Goldrush so I know that area and that bridge well

That's just what they do out here

They play on people's emotions to get money then they take that money and get twisted

There are homeless shelters out here that will house a lot of the people on the streets, but the main rules of those shelters are
1. No sexual contact inside the shelters

2. No drugs in the shelters

A lot of these homeless people don't wanna follow those rules so they choose the street

I swing (BLACK) homeless people and panhandlers a couple dollars or the change in my pocket. I don't care if they go buy liquor or some shyt. If my reality was homelessness, I'd be trying to escape that shyt every day.

So if folks don't help them to the extent you did then you don't really believed they helped?

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
This year (and really the middle of last year) I said I’d try to help every homeless person I came across

And I have

I got 1 a job at a Trader Joe’s after helping him get his social security card and ID,

A couple of others jobs at mcdonalds

And the rest into shelters around the city

All it takes is 30 dollars to really help a homeless person

The first thing you ask them, is do they have any felonies, if they say no, then your job going forward is easy. Offer them coffee or a quick fast food bite

Take down their information and help them find a job.

How can you just walk by without helping? Why is that okay? What do you tell yourself to make yourself feel better about it?

1. I need my money.
2. That person might be a phsyco. Let me just go on about my day

My guy I don't like at them as non humans. Most of the world is one bad year from being homeless, but most people who fall on hard times are able to pull themselves up sooner or later.

If you see a guy who just gave up and stopped trying. That is them giving up on the world, not the world givng up on them........you have to ask yourself why they chose to stop trying to better themselves........Plenty of people have been homeless at one point and time, but they were not trying to be homeless so they kept striving until they got that break......a nikka who has been homeless more then 2 years is not anyone we should feel sorry for unless they truly can't help their situation(mentally ill )

majority of the homeless IS mentally ill.

majority of drug addicts are mentally ill and self medicating, it usually goes hand in hand so what i’m saying is still right.
