so you just up and got these homeless people a job, all those months/years of homelessness but somehow you just managed to waltz in their life and get like 5 of them jobs? thecoli.com
and i'm not obligated to give my money or time to every homeless person, i'd go broke or never sleep with how deep they are out here. i help who i want to help when i want to help someone
Yet rich people are demonized for not giving a shyt about the middle class when the middle class doesn’t give a shyt about the homeless
This year (and really the middle of last year) I said I’d try to help every homeless person I came across
And I have
I got 1 a job at a Trader Joe’s after helping him get his social security card and ID,
A couple of others jobs at mcdonalds
And the rest into shelters around the city
All it takes is 30 dollars to really help a homeless person
The first thing you ask them, is do they have any felonies, if they say no, then your job going forward is easy. Offer them coffee or a quick fast food bite
Take down their information and help them find a job.
How can you just walk by without helping? Why is that okay? What do you tell yourself to make yourself feel better about it?
