HOW do you convince yourself it’s okay to just walk by homeless people? What excuses do you use?

All it takes is one person. That’s it. Next time you see a homeless person. Offer them coffee or a meal and sit and talk. They’re humans. Not dogs.

If you are holding up any kinda of sign asking for help, Ill pass you right on by..its a con for the most part.

I also instruct people how to get to the GA office, but they decline..which shows ME they out here hustling..

So NAW, the only thing I give away for free is advice..

Yes.

All you need is first and last name, and I took them down to welfare to help him get their id’s

After that, I let them use my p.o box until they can get their own. Haircut, cheap job interview clothes and that’s it

My guy I don't like at them as non humans. Most of the world is one bad year from being homeless, but most people who fall on hard times are able to pull themselves up sooner or later.

If you see a guy who just gave up and stopped trying. That is them giving up on the world, not the world givng up on them........you have to ask yourself why they chose to stop trying to better themselves........Plenty of people have been homeless at one point and time, but they were not trying to be homeless so they kept striving until they got that break......a nikka who has been homeless more then 2 years is not anyone we should feel sorry for unless they truly can't help their situation(mentally ill )

Your topic isnt about classism, its about individuals giving back to the homeless.

Like I said..its been reported that some people begging for change are actually in crews that do it collectively who arent really 'homeless' and can make up to $200 per day JUST from panhandling.

If I can POINT YOU in the direction to get money and you dont want to do it, theres nothing else I can do for you..

Yall really be scared of homeless people? I usually just lie when people ask me for money or squares.. If its squares, i use a shocked face and say " damn this my last one.. If i had it, you would have it too " fresh pack in my pocket

If its money, i just tell people I spent my last or dont carry money on me

I dont feel bad .. Im sure ill put the money or squares to better use than them

They are homeless for a reason.. Likely dangerous as well cuz they got nothing to lose.. Stay on guard

I gave a bum couple 5 dollars when I was drunk coming out a gas station just cuz.. I dont wanna hear shyt

Youd say that until you feel that winter air hit your bones and your stomach is growling for 2 Days. At that point maybe it’s not about taking someone’s kindness for weakness. Maybe it’s just that pride and survival don’t mix too well.

But what do I know

it would be different if I felt they were begging out of desperation or for something important. But it usually involves them asking for change,then asking for more money or to buy them some food,cigarettes,wanting a ride to one place,then another place. That shyt just feels out of order to me because I would never ask a stranger for so much shyt back to back

But the 1% who get scrutinized the most are the ones using their money and influence to intentionally get out of paying a fair share of taxes and giving their customers a living wage when they could afford it
