It's more so to cut down on travel which is why this idea is based on region and not history.

I think its an interesting discussion
They only play once a week. The only time travel really comes into play is during a short week which is a completely separate issue in itself. And it’s not like they’re flying commercial or riding a bus

The effects of travel are a player issue and the league has already shown that they don't give a fukk about players. They had to be bullied into helping minimize brain damage, they don't give two fukks about jet lag.

I wanted to hate this, but it makes sense and would freshen up the league. A good mix of established and fresh rivalries.

Losing the AFL-AFC connection is tough, but the AFL has been defunct for almost 60 years. Times change :yeshrug:

There's no way they'd break up all those divisional rivalries

But some of these set ups are kinda wild tbh

Like how is Indianapolis in the South but Cincinnati in the North :leostare:

Also if y'all :flabbynsick: heads can recall the 90s made absolutely no sense; Dallas and AZ were in the East and Atlanta was in the West :mindblown:
The Colts started in Baltimore and Maryland is "technically" the South. But a lot of it was a need for divisional balance.
