They're not clearly the third best organization when the Warriors have won more championships. The funny thing is both Denver and Miami are big markets but the NBA is really about its legacy franchises in terms of marketing appeal. Miami at this point should be considered a legacy franchise, they're clearly the third best organization of the post-Jordan quarter century (after LA and SA)...
The NBA will not be sad to see Miami I'm The Finals, the Heat are a marquee franchise and a big market. The only issue with Miami is they are a one-star team.

Yes they are...They're not clearly the third best organization when the Warriors have won more championships.
You play to win championships and Golden State has won more.Yes they are...
Jordan retired in 1998. So we're talking from 1998-99 to now, right? 25 full years...
In that 25 years, Miami is currently in its 9th conference finals, the Warriors have played in 6. If Miami wins this series, they'll be making a 7th Finals run, compared to 6 for SF. In the last 25 years Miami has won ~46.2 games/year, compared to ~41 for San Francisco, because Miami has been more consistently an elite franchise...
The Warriors run of being a marquee franchise is narrowed down to just the past 9 years, 2014 to present. That's it. They were one of the worst teams in basketball for a decade and a half before then. Meanwhile the Heat have stayed afloat with multiple eras of the Zo era where he was a 2x Top 5 MVP finalist and carried that into the early 00s; the Wade/Shaq era; the Heatles era; and now The Jimmy Butler Show...
They've never had more than two losing seasons in a row, that was way the fukk back in '02 and '03---->meanwhile the Warriors had a losing record the first 8 years post-Mike, made the playoffs in '07 for the first time since Mike was retired the first time, then missed the playoffs for 6 years with losing records in 5 of those years...
This was a pathetic organization and literally the only point they'd have in a conversation vs Miami, is that they have one more championship. They have nothing else in their favor to suggest they are a greater organization than Miami, there's nothing to show sustainability if Myers leaves and once Steph declines. Yall better hope it ain't back to dumpster diving for the Warriors ...
Y’all still can’t see that Jimmy is on a Kawhi 2019 run
Yeah even tho they’re in the drivers seat, closing out these last 2 games will be tough for both teamsThey still gotta beat Boston.
Nuggets still gotta beat LA.
I'm not writing anything off this year.
nikkas act like Kawhi was playing with bums. The whole Raptors team stepped up in those Finals especiallyJimmy’s run is more impressive tbh
You right but the Marlins aren't a better franchise than us since 96 despite them having more ringsYou play to win championships and Golden State has won more.
I hear you breh but baseball is different. The best team doesn't always win the World Series. You right but the Marlins aren't a better franchise than us since 96 despite them having more rings
If Wade was still there and contributing like Duncan was at the end then people would connect the entire run together more. The only real thread is Spo being Riley's protégé, which isn't as substantial as Pop holding it down on his own.
Heatles era does kinda feel like Barry Bonds in the early 2000s as well which puts a bit of a stain on them in the public eye too IMO
That's one thing I don't like about NBA media. They'll call some places "small market" and it'll be a place that's one of the biggest markets in the world. And they seem to call Miami a big market but they don't talk about them nearly as much as they should, and it's because they don't have a media golden boy attached to the team. Like replace Tatum with Butler and Mami would get talked about a whole lot more. And it's crazy because Jimmy is a dog who you'd want to put front and center, Jimmy's numbers rise in the playoffs but it's barely mentioned, they win this series more talk will be about where the Celtics go from here. The funny thing is both Denver and Miami are big markets but the NBA is really about its legacy franchises in terms of marketing appeal. Miami at this point should be considered a legacy franchise, they're clearly the third best organization of the post-Jordan quarter century (after LA and SA)...

Jimmy isn't, either. I do think his run is more impressive than Kawhi's, but the Heat are still a team that was in the ECF 2 of the previous 3 years. These guys know how to play together...nikkas act like Kawhi was playing with bums. The whole Raptors team stepped up in those Finals especially
Jimmy tho
They've won ONE more title. They haven't won more games and they've lost waaaaayyyy more than Miami...You play to win championships and Golden State has won more.
The best team always wins in basketball?I hear you breh but baseball is different. The best team doesn't always win the World Series.
Are you asking because you wanna know which team you should request to be traded to?Not long to go now
