How do people typically get fired at work

I've been thinking about this for a while but this really hit me when this fine girl just got fired last week. I work in the IT department so I have access to the cameras. Owner came to her office and asked her to come to his, as she's walking to his office the CFO walked in right with her then 5 minutes later she walked out alone and I can tell she's crying because she's wiping her eyes.

But it got me thinking that this is fukked up to make people come to work and then fire them at work. I've heard the same shyt happened to other people at my job but this is the first time I saw it happen.

Is this normal for jobs?

Hell yeah. Unless it's something very egregious the person getting canned was already "fired" (ppwk, and last check already printed out) before they even got out of bed. Don't worry, they're going to calculate the last day for em, but yea probably by lunch or by days end that person is dunzo

One time I put in my 2 weeks notice in the afternoon right before logging off (while WFH). Next morning my manager told me to come in and bring my computer, got walked out. Couldn't even say bye to anybody. Wasn't a firing but it felt like it. And yeah it seems they prefer to do it in person.

more times when people get fired it's incompetence at the base of it or theft.

I got fired from comcast back in 2003. they called me to the back office, I just grabbed my shyt just in case, so they couldn't perp walk me thru the office and they shyt canned me. I just dipped out the back door and went home. I hated that job with a passion anyways

Just like there is a formal process to hire somebody there’s procedures to fire them. Plus if they do it in person you have no reason to come back

I got canned before, but I was suspended prior so I knew what time it was. Still went up there to get my check and allat from my manager....but nah....why tf an o.g. who was working there before I got there and still there on that Wilder timin told me, the manager got fired a couple years back for some foul shït, and he said they had to get security to carry him out and he was holding on to the doors, railings etc, he said that shyt had him shocked but it was one of the funniest things he's seen.
