I'm glad Diamond D got to be on an album that sold 14 milli and stay paid
actually because Wyclef fakkit ass didn't clear the sample after diamond told him to, diamond and the fugees got sued and pretty lost all publishing and royalties for the title track. Diamond is still kinda mad to this day how that turned out and won't really talk about it.

I never really liked the fugees either so after them even hearing that, fukk them even more and the score is easily one of the most unbalanced and overrated albums in hip-hop history. There's no other group in hip-hop that could have two of three members be wack as fukk, have the best mc be a girl who sings exclusively on a couple songs and have said album be called a classic by the masses. shyt is such a fukking anomaly .

Ready or not still goes hard
Zealots
How many mics
The beast
Fu gee la
Cowboys

Killing me softly was my least favorite song because of how hard it got played out :heh:
Hate? i know i spoke alot of real talk. People only cared for the singles and that still stands

I know this, which is why i said it's a classic off impact. It's singles were bonofide classics and when you think of that year, that's one of the big moments you'll remember. However, let's not pretend that the album possesses non singles on the level of AINT NO FUN,tha shiznit,LADI DADI,ambitionz az a ridah,NO MORE PAIN,CAN'T C ME,wonder why they call you bytch,PICTURE ME ROLLIN,life goes on,TAKEOVER,never change,RENAGADE,hola hovito,STILLMATIC INTRO,ether,2ND CHILDHOOD,rewind,DESTROY & REBUILD,blood hound,PATIENTLY WAITING,what's up gangsta, ETC. I REST MY CASE,if you still dont get it,then you're just lying to yourself

Solid 4.5/5 album for me. Although Pras and 'Clef aren't the best emcees, their lyrics never crossed my mind when I listened to the album back then. I just loved the production, the skits, the energy, and the versatility they brought to the table. I also loved The Carnival when it dropped :lolbron: and obviously Miseducation is classic. Pras' album was atrocious though :mjlol:

That being said, can't say I've revisited this album in quite some time.

I don't think there was really ANY filler on the album, actually. Only track I wasn't a huge fan of was The Beast but even that was ok. I actually like a lot of the tracks that nobody remembers on there (Family Business, Manifest/Outro, The Score, The Mask) but to each his own!

I, and others, just named a bunch of album cuts that got heavy rotation. Sorry there no social media or message boards to make the fanfare seem bigger. Yea, there weren't album cuts that became unofficial singles, but that wasn't the norm back then.

It was for real CLASSIC albums. Such as
The chronic
Doggy style
Death certificate
Regulate g-funk era
All eyez on me
Life after death
Tru 2 da game
Thug life

I could name many many many more.
Some of these albums didn't even remotely sell as many records as then and yet have more famous album cuts/ unofficial singles
