People who don’t read books read enough words on a computer screen in 1 week to fill multiple books.
That’s a different level of comprehension. Are you equating reading a book is the same as reading on social media.

This statement right here proves your point OP. This post is unintentionally non-intellectual - there’s a reason why you’re supposed to read books. Browsing media is not the same.

Research shows that regular reading:
  • improves brain connectivity.
  • increases your vocabulary and comprehension.
  • empowers you to empathize with other people.
  • aids in sleep readiness.
  • reduces stress.
  • lowers blood pressure and heart rate.
  • fights depression symptoms.
  • prevents cognitive decline as you age.

Yup, it's gotten to the point that I can barely talk to people don't read books for any longer than 5 minutes. I can immediately tell when someone doesn't read at all. Everything from their analytical skills to their use of language and annunciation. It just automatically shows.

Of course you have the time to respond to every poster on the Coli. Pull up their past messages. Be a full time parent, a full time law practitioner. Bloods gang member in NYC even though you live in Maryland, what else am I missing? How the hell do you find the time to read a book, Nic? :jbhmm:

Some of us literally make time to do things. It's not that hard when you're organized.
