How do people go through life without regularly reading books?

The number of people talking about “cliffs”, on a 4 minute video is always amazing to me. The Dumbing down era continues - People’s attention spans are shyt, combined with lack of intellectual motivation. People walking around in a mental void.

The amount of dementia patients are going to be off the charts in about 15-20 years. Brain atrophy is so real.

Along with rampant weed smoking, a lot of Alzheimer's patients at (much) younger ages.

Half a century of purposeful dumbing down of an entire population. Learning is now marketed as something to not be trusted, to be endured and gotten past rather than enjoyed and sought after.

Thats the current US education model. Makes kids HATE knowledge. Which is why school shootings are now off the charts.

Because I don't want / need to? Reading books isn't a necessity, fam. It's essentially a hobby. You don't need to always have your head in a book in order to learn new things and gain new understandings of life, different cultures, language, and the world in general.

If anything, I remember back in the day you'd at least read a monthly sports illustrated subscription. Bare minimum. :flabbynsick:

Average IQ is 20% lower than year 2000.

No deductive reasoning, cause/effect rationalizing, or any kind of true grassroots problem solving for real life challenges.... such as saying hello to the opposite sex, or expressing your feelings/thoughts.

p*ssy will be easy, retarded, un-rewarding, and cheap.

In 200 years...humans won't interact to reproduce.

I would argue reading is a path to a lonely existence. I dont believe reading helps with any of those things you mentioned. If anything the more you know, the more you resent people for not knowing. Living in reality no matter how stupid is the key to living. Ironically not reading and too much reading can both get you equally left behind. One feels far worst as a human.
