The old coli was a product of the old internet.

The internet as a whole is just different now. More rage bait and divisiveness to farm engagement.

That affects everything. How we post, the topics we discuss, etc.

It's over, the ones who could make a difference are either banned, too old, or deceased.

Then no registration to let in new posters is the nail in the coffin...understand a lot of posters that were around during the glory days were still in their late teens and early 20's so the topics were more coming of age rather than regurgitated Shaderoom and X posts

The critical point is the fact there was no waves of open registration throughout the years. If open registration was a regular thing we could have added new posters who would add to the site, without taking away from the culture.

Now, the only way to meaningfully course correct would be to completely open the floodgates for a period. We would have a lot of new posters in their teens and twenties, a lot of cacs and non-blacks too.

The culture would at that point change but you've gotta ask whether greater engagement yet a loss of culture is better than a site and poster base that does not know it is dying of a terminal illness.

If registration does open now is as good a time as any because there's no mid term or presidential election on the horizon.

Last time we opened up registration we ended up with homorless fakkits like @Roger king

Opening up registration will attract 2 kinds of people - Gen Z Kids and millenials that became fakkits over the past 10 years.

In terms of updating this site: sites like Ablackweb.com and hell even a site like LSA use xenoform . Which coli uses. There is absolutely no reason this site should be in the condition it in.

With Ablackweb. You can filter all through that site in terms of movies etc. whats new albums etc

They also have the slider like we use to have where you can see the hot topics.

A lot of the morally decent posters either got run off, left on their terms, banned for less/trivial matters, or were forced to fall back in terms of their presence and positive influence to avoid being banned, while the real troublemakers spreading propaganda, encouraging discord, and sowing division among other things have unusually been given numerous lifelines while being allowed to prosper in their goal of mayhem.
