He makes catchy music. Also black people aren't his fanbase lol. One of his first big looks after White Iverson was him opening for Justin Bieber on tour. That’s how I knew he had some real industry backing, one song and he’s opening up for Bieber? That’s where really got his fan base. Then congratulations blew up and he wasn’t a one hit wonder anymore. Then he kept making catchy music his fan base liked.

When he said that he would go to Bob Dylan before hip hop for emotional songs, that's how I knew he wasn't worth following. Everything I needed to know about him was right there.

I don't have anything against the people who work with him, but if he ever gets exposed on some overt :mjpls: shyt, I won't be surprised at all.

I think he got away with it by never claiming to be a rapper, just made rap adjacent music that got picked up by urban stations. No different than that Astronaut in the Ocean guy who blew up earlier this year. Post was just smart enough to subtly go alternative, but have rappers as features. Do those rappers fukk with PM, probably not but it’s a beneficial look for both parties. Post keeps the “urban” audience and Da Baby gets on pop stations.

That man had hits. nikkas in here trying to make it seem like they uncovering label secrets when all they doing is explaining how a label is supposed to push an artist :mjtf:

white Iverson was the start but “congratulations” put him in another stratosphere and he didn’t look back. Now he got multiple songs that’s gone diamond :dahell:

It’s hilarious hearing dudes talk about “the machine” pushing artists like it’s some kind of conspiracy, when that’s the whole point of a record label and management team. Why would you sign an artist and not put money behind them to succeed, especially after they’ve already shown that they can make hits?

He doesn’t make black music

He relies heavily on black features

A white singer/rapper makes a song called White Iverson but he not making black music :russ:

Uses black producers and black songwriters but he not making black music :mjlol:

Everything about Post music is BLACK music. From the cadence, to the melodies, the beats - they just put a white face on it and made it safe for white people to enjoy. You act like the industry hasn’t been doing this since 1950s. Hell even longer if you wanna go back to the roots of Jazz/Rock.
