Same way all the culture vultures do it. Corporately.

He's on Republic. It's mostly a Rock and Pop label, with funds being funneled through Universal. So they have the kind of budgets to pay for the best writers for him, his production budgets are going to be sky-high and he's going to get everything charged right back to him in the 360 deal he has. But he's pulling in so much bread, that he can still see a nice payday after everything is recouped. There was an article out a few years back about how Republic was paying radio to play his songs, and influencers to promote his records on social media. His following wasn't exactly organic. He's part of a machine that's going to make sure he succeeds.

That's how the vultures get down. They're not going to be grinding for years. They're going to spend to make sure the artists take off.

This.

And you don't even need to know the background to be able to see what's going on cause his music sounds so fukking manufactured. :mjlol:

But I guess that's all just "my opinion". I hope his defenders on here are getting part of the promo cut. :pachaha:

There have literally been multiple people that think that he's trash in this thread and it's not even on the second page. The only folk that like his music are folk that follow trends for the most part. Dude is trash and generic as fukk.

My contribution as far as an answer is that as long as he keeps making money for them given his marketability (@Awesome Wells kinda alluded to this) the longer he'll stay relevant. And a lot of his fans are white...this one white girl I know thinks he's attractive :dead:

That man had hits. nikkas in here trying to make it seem like they uncovering label secrets when all they doing is explaining how a label is supposed to push an artist :mjtf:

white Iverson was the start but “congratulations” put him in another stratosphere and he didn’t look back. Now he got multiple songs that’s gone diamond :dahell:

He had absolutely no creativity, his lyrics were fukking stupid and sounded like a high school project to repeat the most repetitive rap tropes in your own words, his singing wasn't good enough to get anywhere in the industry until he became a "rapper" and culture vultured a hip hop image, and his production was just the regurgitated pop version of whatever was popular in hip hop the previous year.

you out of touch and must be :flabbynsick:
breh, all that you typed out is "good hip hop music". stop hating :jawalrus:
