Microsoft will dominate game as a service streaming. They have the cash on hand to burn to scale a game streaming service without taking on any debt to do so. They have the vision as they have a service now with over 20 million subs that they grow by 3-5 million a quarter and that continues to accelerate.
When you talk about gaming you're clearly talking about the conventional model of buy proprietary consoles and individual games for them though. The real question becomes how much longer does that last? Nothing last forever as tech evolves the way business is done changes. You either evolve with it or get left in the dust buy it.

First movers advance matters. All those streaming services that are now chasing Netflix will probably never really catch them. They let Netflix build out for years before they decided to compete and now it's too late. Even now Netflix demands a premium over them. Disney has to give Disney+ away at like $7 a month while Netflix can charge $17.
