But, I think it may be a little bit more intricate than what we making it seem.
What I like to call the "long-game". Good looks will have women drooling or whatnot, but,
if this dude has the personality of a thumbtack, he won't get too far.
Cool, average looking cats always have that edge simply because
they not pretty or into just their looks alone. It might get you in the door,
and like @Mr. Negative said, then what?

Women are so so shallow these days fam. They'll let a nikka with a lame personality beat constantly if he looks good just so they can post pics with him on there instagram and Facebook wall. They treat that nikka like a Michael Kors purse and want to be seen with him just off appearance. That ugly nikka with the good personality will have to work 3x as hard and would have to constantly call the bish in order to kick it.
