SOHH ICEY N.O.

Most likely because Wayne's "Promotion of Violence" stayed on his records.
You didn't hear about Wayne having a disagreement with another 15 year old and
then clapping him up,then using a public platform to essentially sh1t on that kids loss of life.

I can't even imagine the outrage that would occur if a 15 year old Wayne was up at a
radio station saying some sh1t like "Fvck that ***** ! Rest In Piss ***** ! We comin after your fam next ! ***** !", with callers calling into co-sign it.

Not to mention how many outraged parents would boycott his music, how politicians would probably use him as a convenient talking point, how young black males would be condemned and stereotyped moreso than they already were/are.

I wouldn't even consider such behavior "Real" unless we were calling it "Real" Disgusting behavior.

keef never said nothin like that tho, all he said was "he wanted to be just like us to" and "jo jo dead we gon throw a party" that was some dude who they didnt even knw on twitter saying all that shyt, and the lil dude who was saying it said jo jo killed his cousin and some other friends of his.

if a nikka killed some of your best friends then u would be happy he died to, same as people who get death row, nobody cry about them

and like i said before wayne was 10 years old on true story wit bg who was like 14 dissing mistakal and talkin all type of street shyt

Jay Z and Biggie had dispicable subject matter on all their records but guess what, the music was dope and that's all that matters. No selective outrage about promoting drug dealing\violence or a materialistic lifestyle whatsoever.

The only thing about chief keef is that the music is not that great, hence why people can adjust their moral compass all of a sudden and be outraged.

Uncle ScarFace and Cube peeled a nucca's cap on every other record and nobody said a word because the tracks were piff.

If Chief Keef appealed to the so called hip hop purists, everyone would be on his nuts calling him the resurrection of real gangsta rap and would not care anything about the effects it may or may not have on the community

This here...

Now honestly, some people in this thread are right. You tend to see the world differently as an adult than you did when you were a teenager doin' wild stupid shyt just like Keef and Wayne glorified. And in some cases, you mighta punched a nikka in his face just for livin' after lettin' Prodigy say that was some cool shyt to do. But everybody gets older. I get it...

BUT... I also agree with the fact that alot of y'all are bein' hypocritical as fukk. Violence in the inner city, and especially the kinda violence that causes death, has always been a problem. If you don't mind it comin' from your favorite rappers, then don't turn into Martin Luther King when it's comin' from rappers you don't like.

Hustlemania drew up a good point... this nikka Chi Ali killed a dude over a $300 debt and some CDs, and muhfukkas were happy to see him outta jail... but Chief Keef is a problem. I guess cause Keef didn't make a couple good songs 20 years ago?? :russ:

i think what most people have a problem with is that Keef is a young bul and his music is "garbage." if Keef was 20+ and his music was what the people complainin deemed good , nobody would care what he was sayin. at least thats what i've been getting readin all this shyt since this Keef thing started.

FWIW how many people were even against Lil Mouse....a couple armchair activists who bemoaned the state of the inner city while probably not doing anything about it...but I'm happy something as provocative as a 13 year old gangster rapper (who nothing's going to happen to) is out there because all of our collective fukk ups and apathy stares us right in the face every time he's onscreen.

We gotta do better, but let's actually do it now. It's like everything needs to have a face to it before it's something people give a fukk about

If politicians and parents don't want to intervene then why should I? We all have our own communities to worry about and uphold.

I don't like to see kids puttin in work but if the records are an actual depiction of real life events that he has seen or been a part of how can I say the artist should not discuss it?

the fukkery existed back then there just wasn't a twitter or youtube and the people that did complain about it did it in their circle of like minded people they didn't have the blogs or forums at their disposal.

I'm just going to reply to this part of the post since I addressed
how I feel about the whole Wayne situation in my last post.

I was just comparing the two situations in their entirety, not
just on what Chief Keef said but all that surrounds the murder of Jo Jo.

I'm personally not against violence in music.
I think an artist should be able to make music that's violent without
being expected to go out and do violent things that would jeopardize their career.

Where did this 15 shyt come from? Cash Money didn't even begin to REALLY blow up until around 1999-2000, and Wayne was born in 1982. So unless y'all from New Orleans and/or was up on their underground scene, you didn't even know who the fukk he was.
