How come Ginuwine didn't become a bigger star?

usher & Tevin were only really contemporaries in terms of age. musically, they werent really in the same lane. Tevin would've been competing with people like Kenny Lattimore in the late '90s.

usher isn't a respected vocalist like that breh.
and they didn't call usher to sing at those funerals because hes a knock-down vocalist. BE SMART. and I don't know why youre bringing up Michael Jackson like hes sam cooke or somebody. he fell out of the vocalist category back in the '80s.

since when do people in the industry randomly call out bad singers? this isn't hip-hop. LOL. the most you'll normally get, is subtle chit like when tevin styled on usher.
and I didn't say that usher couldn't sing at all, hes just painfully average vocally. that was never his draw tho.

No way is Confessions better than The Bachelor or 100% Ginuwine.

If you combined the best songs from both of those Ginuwine albums to make a super album, it still would have trouble facing CONFESSIONS.
And i bought both albums,never BOUGHT an usher album

how old are you breh? I'm pretty sure I asked you this before, and you disappeared.

he gets called because hes a big name, and hes connected politically. he was getting big looks when he was an awful singer, before he improved to average. and he was getting those looks off the strength of laface/arista/etc. that's why Tevin styled on him.

learn the game. most of these looks that people get, aren't based off of just merit. otherwise, the whole field would be completely different.

he still was everywhere. he prolly has a better manager.

his music just took a huge dip.

when youre not a great vocalist, you should stay in your comfort zone and with the people that got you hot. these types of singers venture out all the time, and end up ruining their careers in the process.​

Wow. Didn't really think too many people held this opinion. I bought Confessions, but I can't really sit through it. Not saying it's wack. It has it's moments, but overall it just doesn't move me.

The Bachelor is one of my favorite albums and 100% still knocks.

Exactly. Confessions was okay when it came out and I was in HS.

But now that I’m older, it’s not that great to me.

The Bachelor is great from front to back. 100% might actually be my favorite of the two tho.

Both of them are nice vocally IMO. I think Ginuwine is underrated compared to Usher. Lining their singles and their best albums up, I think G got it.

nikkas dont know how to step outside of whom they like,and see things clearly.
Like i said earlier,i bought two ginuwine albums and never bought an usher album but usher is clearly a better singer and confessions is clearly superior to any ginuwine album
