I saw a place out in Corktown and then researched...someone got murdered out there in April

All the other ones near downtown looks like I might have to watch my step or else I might interrupt a dice game

Go to Detroit without a gun brehs :troll:

I'll check Airbnb out tomorrow
lol.... Don't get shot cuz you didn't research .... stay near midtown downtown........... Or in Troy.

Stay at the Casino Hotels. If u have some doe, stay at the double tree fort Shelby down town... it's my favorite.

If I had the money I'd throw it at some property now. I live in midtown a couple blocks from Wayne State, as mentioned earlier in the thread a lot of startups are coming to this area. I say 5-10 years Detroit will rise again.

I'm not trying to be a mogul, but I've thought about this. As a teacher, I can purchase HUD properties at 50% off and $100 down. Too bad you have to live in the area in which you purchase.

i don't really have luck w the asians... unless you mean like lebonese, arab. I don't know how to pull a caldean or chinese chick around here. I see mostly white chicks riding the bike/ jogging.

@Blackking How can one get started on something like this breh? I remember being young telling my mother and stepdad to buy a brownstone in BK (I thought of the Cosbys, lol). They bought in East New York Instead :snoop: Now you have those same houses going for a mil :sadcam:

I want new ways to make money (even if it takes time). I've started the process of buying my own condo, but if this is really worth it, I'd kick myself down the road for not getting on it.

first off... I think @88m3 and a few other posters are into property. Idk about me giving advice, because I'm just some random nikka w properties. First one I encouraged the black owners not to sell and then acquired it later... now cac are forming at the mouth trying to get it the way they snatched all the other good shyt. 2nd one my (lets just call him) my 'boy' AKed someone and went to jail.. through a ton of fukkery and relationships I was able to get it. 3rd one is in bad shape, but in a developing area,,, I purchased a list, I missed the auction for it :sadcam: but just got it anyway for the potential. I have my eye on something that I can't afford right now, but my 'lady friend' will acquire a random 20k in oct and might help me out... so we'll see.

Do you live in Detroit? If you're in New York - ur gonna need maddd money to make maddd money. In Detroit your gonna need money to buy something cheap looking then fix it and sit on it or rent it out. People say "I don't want some piece of crap in a bad area" But those are black people talking shyt... and ignorant white people. the people in the know... you see them working. I see brand new windows and random wood on random houses in what used to be bad areas. That's the way to do it. Or you can just search and search and search for a gem. People drive down my street daily just waiting. Patience is a future.

What is one of the hottest topics in Chinese Social/Business Media (Weibo) --- *clears neck* Detroit housing market.

Downtown Detroit is home to one of the worst housing markets in the country, as prices of homes have collapsed and foreclosures have soared in the city’s depressed economy.

But some Chinese investors hungry for real estate are hoping Detroit’s losses will be their gain. After Detroit filed for bankruptcy July 18, Motor City property has been a hot topic on China’s social media platform, Weibo, according to a Quartz.com report.

News of the bankruptcy, coupled with a Chinese TV report in March that claimed you could buy two houses in Detroit for the same price as a pair of leather shoes, has piqued investors' interest.

Quartz spoke to Caroline Chen, a real estate broker based in Troy, Mich., who says she has received “tons of calls” from mainland Chinese expressing serious interest in the market.

“I have people calling and saying, ‘I’m serious -- I wanna buy 100, 200 properties,’” Chen said. She added that a colleague had recently sold 30 properties to a single Chinese buyer.

Not sure.. the people I know who make moves there are much bigger people than me and you. They already are super str8. So they are just adding to their wealth. So that's all I know about. My father mentioned something about purchasing apartments and flats there, but he is super str8 as well.... so I don't have any perceptive from any normal people.

I just "watched" a on PBS called Discover Detroit.

With the exception of a few children at a waterpark in the burbs, wasnt a black face in sight for the entire thirty minutes.
