Sometimes I think about how far the world would be technologicaly, if it wasn't for Microsoft's monopolistic practices. Think how far we would be if the library of Alexandria, or the library in Baghdad weren't razed. I also think about all of the lost man hours caused by Microsoft products freezing, or crashing on its users. A cynic could say Gates is just trying to buy his way into heaven.

:what: i'm missing the connection here. anyhow dude played a major part if not the most important part in the personal computer revolution which allowed the masses to have unbounded information at their finger tips, share ideas and collaborate with others like we never had before and express themselves just to name a few. needless to say the personal computer's impact on humanity is one of the greatest things ever and bill gates will always get :salute: for his role in it.

I think about what he did to gaming and i lose respect for him.

He feeds and provides medicine for the poor. fukk your video games, you dweeb. You 35 year old video game-addicted karate student with two imaginary friends. You're gonna be fighting your son for the PS3 controller and running around the house shooting your baby moms with nerf pop guns giggling and high-fiving each other in 8 years, old 2nd childhood ass nikka.

Its not just about software crashing. Microsoft's modus operandi during the 80's, and 90'swas to release products they knew had bugs in them, and only after people complained would they release a software patch.

The tire industry make tires that last 50,000 miles when they easily make tires that last 500,000 miles

Its 2013 and we are still using internal combustion engines that require oil/fuel

Medicines only temporarily relieve ailments

why would you think sofware would be any different

why would you think the software industry is any different

stop being glib
