How Can We Address Anti-intellectualism in Our Communities?

I posted this in a topic months ago...

The issue in my opinion is education and ignorance, i went to the same Detroit Public Schools as every other kid in the city, so why did I turn out so different? It starts at home with the exposure to culture, the reinforcement of self-worth, and the belief that I am in control of my own destiny. We do that we can eliminate "real nikka syndrome" and make kids aspire to want to be engineers and physicists and Vice Presidents of Community Affairs and shyt like that....we have to make that COOL to young black kids and not just being rappers/hoopers.

The cool factor is what I call it. Also most black kids grew up in a single parent home.
Majority of those are guaranteed to fail

I don't think its an issue at all....You're talking about a "community" that used to risk life and limb just to gain access to certain secondary institutions....

That doesn't sound like anti-intellectualism to me. Some studies show that college enrollment for black women has went up 30% since 2000....

Basically, 1 out of 10 sisters right now are getting some type of secondary education...Doesn't sound like anti intellectualism to me...

What is your definition of anti-intellectualism?

everyone should have those stats lets take gender out of the equation totally. A two-parent home with two college graduates is a great foundation.

The other ethnicity's being used as comparisons in this thread have clearly defined cultures. I'm asking for a definition and examples of African American culture, if there is such a thing.
