:what:

See, you already more focused on how much you can still drink instead of trying to lose weight. Alcohol is a dub from now on wtf!

Actually I don’t even have time for this right now do you beloved :hubie:
To hell with what yall talking about. Nothing is wrong with a drink once in a while like once or twice a month and tequila which I usually drink has no carbs lol.

Let yall tell it I'm an alcoholic which isn't the case.

Side note: I know myself and I've literally been eating only one meal a day. If I'm going to stick to this I'll have to switch it up and eat some foods I like, at least one meal a week on one day. Anything else and I'll go back to eating how I was and stop the diet.

However if I want real results I'll have to at least have a cheat day for now till I get accustom kinda as a reward for my work.

Yall nikkas been at this for years but at my worse I'd eat a whole cake by myself, eat two or three meals from fast food spots in one sitting, non sense like that. I wasn't eating no where near regular portions lol. I'm trying to do better yall, understand that.

You don’t need cheat days in general but damn sure not planning for them 2 days into being somewhat compliant.
That's not true, I've done my research and cheat days actually help the metabolism and I'm not gonna over do it. Maybe one of them I'll eat what I want for dinner and the other I'll opt for a healthy dinner but I'll break the intermittent fasting on the weekend and eat three square meals. Again not over doing it except for one meal I'll have at dinner time during one of the days. For the other meals not gonna consume many carbs, barely eat anything with sugar and cut out sweet drinks completely.

You're completely missing the point. If your goal is to get healthy, why are you worrying about cheat days and drinking? It seems like you already done too much of both which is why you are in this situation.

This thread is straight jokes. :mjlol:

Nikka said a reward for his work. What work? Not dying yet? Being almost morbidly obese and having your doctor get on your ass? :what: :russ: :dead:

I guess continuing to live and not having diabetes isn't reward enough. :troll:

Not worried just trying to strategize the best way to go about it. Not saying I want a drink or I'm gonna drink every day but if I did have one what would be the healthiest option. Similar to bread I whole wheat is the heathiest if I do decide to eat it. For wraps I found out coconut wraps are some of the best choices.

I feel I need cheat days at this stage if I'm gonna be successful at this

How do they help metabolism?
They say it helps people stick to their lifestyle change and also helps increase levels of Leptin which help with metabolism.

I'm being realistic, got my meals planned out and how I'm gonna approach things. I'm not gonna over indulge because I want better but I have to be realistic that eating salads all day won't work for me either lol. We'll see in a month but I'm sticking to this.

A reward for sticking to only eating one meal through the week. It hasn't been easy but I'm doing it and will continue to do it and I'm gonna start going to the gym too. I'll monitor my progress and share them here in this thread.

You ain’t out in no work talking about a reward!!???? :mindblown:

And you’re assuming with the bolded. In the last year and some change I got hit by a car and messed up my shoulder and hip couldn’t walk for a minute and then right after I got sick and was hospitalized for 30 days and lost 40 pounds and was sickly overweight.

It’s been about 6 months since I’ve been completely “healthy” and after putting in that work in the gym I’m benching 225, 75 push ups at a time and 25 pull ups at a time.

It’s about the work you put in right now and being laser focused on your goal. I like you as a poster and want you to be healthy and with us for a long time. You got a long road ahead. You’re very unhealthy, about to be diabetic, and you don’t have the mindset yet to get in shape. I just don’t want it to be too late for you and then you’re living the next 40 years in a wheelchair or in a hospital because you were too worried about your cheat meals and when you can sneak alcohol in :yeshrug:

facts

yo @Guvnor it's brehs in here legit trying to give you the gems to weight loss and a healthy lifestyle. It's either all in or all out when it comes to discipline on your diet and exercise. I highly advise getting a trainer to keep you accountable

What's wrong with Ozempic btw? If you can get approved for it and stay disciplined you'll be where you want to be a lot sooner

That’s after prolonged deficits. Not once a week when you aren’t even training.

@Guvnor

The process of losing weight is simple but it's a grind, especially if you're diagnosed obese. It's strictly about adherence and patience.

Go to TDEE Calculator: Learn Your Total Daily Energy Expenditure and get your maintenance calories. Choose sedentary, it doesn't matter how much you think you work out CHOOSE SEDENTARY.

Subtract 500 calories from your maintenance calories. Since you're well overweight you have absolute room to be aggressive and I recommend going as high as 750-1000.

Please be mindful of your added sugars since you are pre-diabetic.

Next, download a food tracking app. Like myfitnesspal

Then, buy a food scale

Log every damn morsel of food you plan to eat. If you can't find the calories online, you don't need to be eating it during the journey (for now at least)

Your most critical macros you need to make sure are always getting is FIBER and PROTEIN. Don't get it twisted carbs and fats are critical. But during this weightloss you're going to need to remain satiated and sustain against temptation.

The beauty of fiber and protein is the food choices: beans, lean meats, Crucifious vegetables, berries.

Aim for atleast .8g protein/lb of bodyweight.

You need to avoid diet fatigue otherwise youre screwed and will be yoyoing your weight. AKA...Don't expect to knock this out in 6 months.

There's so much more to share. But that's all I'm going to say for now.

Good luck man :yeshrug:

I know I need to stop cause I'm pretty active and walk a lot but it's like I'm addicted to the food man. shyt is hard to quit but I have too.

A breh don't want diabetes :mjcry: It's grind time

Really Shrimp? I got some in the freezer, bout to look some ideas for how to prepare a few dishes. Thanks for the ideas bro!
Take baby steps but you need to start.

1st Step - Immediately cut out the fast food.
2nd Step - Any sugary drinks. People will think they're "eating fine" but will have two cokes with a salad.
Literally killing any "success" they had with their "change in diet".
From now, all you drink is diet sodas, sugar free drinks or water.
3rd Step - Begin incorporating lean meats + carbs + vegetables.
Learn to read the back of package and measure out your portions.
Find out what your daily caloric intake is:

Calorie calculator

You need FOUR Things for this step:
1. Food Scale
2. Measuring Cups
3. Measuring Spoons
4. Bowls to carry your food.

All of your meat should be LEAN.
Chicken breast. Lean Beef. Lean Turkey. Lean (tough ass) Roast.

Any fats you want will have to be made up by adding a little with vegetable oil, olive oil, coconut oil etc.
And A LOT of fruit to your diet. I have tons of fresh fruit around the house.
Apples. Grapes, Bananas. Oranges. Peaches.

Candy is fukking DONE. IF you have any throw the shyt clean in the trash.

4th Step - Once you get used to eating like this and regularly tracking your meals -

Intermittent fasting becomes your best friend.
Two meals a day.
One snack.
Eat a huge fukking meal at lunch time.
And something smaller before bed.

Work out every single day.
Cut your calories by 1000.

This is drastic but once you drop a 100+ pounds, you can pull back.

I dropped a 100lbs way.
Gained some back once I started riding a desk.
Now I'm running this program again and I'm sticking to it.

Wishing you well.
