Firing McDermott would be a risky move, you would have to know that you have a better coach incoming. He's resurrected a franchise that went 18 years consecutively missing the playoffs, and in 7 years he's won the division 4x, made the playoffs 6x, won an average of 10.4 games/year. He's a really, really good head coach but his fatal flaw is overthinking himself in critical moments. He just can't beat the Chiefs, but the Chiefs can--->and have---->been beaten...

Allen is destined to become this era's Rivers it seems, just can't beat the great teams in his conference to even get to a Super Bowl (because they couldn't beat the Bengals last year either). His play style, you gotta think he only has a few more years left of this high end play, unless he completely alters his approach to The Game...

In a way, I feel sorry for the Bills. During the Patriots run you had other AFC franchises that had championship success. The Steelers got to 3 Super Bowls during the Pats Dynasty, won 2. The Colts and Broncos on the strength of Manning, each got to 2 Super Bowls, won 1 apiece. The Ravens won a Super Bowl and at the end the Chiefs won it. It's not like the Patriots won 18 championships in a row...

Just like that, the Chiefs haven't, and won't, win 18 Super Bowls in a row. They have real competition in conference, we know the Cincinnati Bengals are a real challenger. We'll find out next week if Baltimore is a real in-conference challenger to KC...

But we know the Buffalo Bills aren't a real threat to them. And in a way that sucks for the Bills and their fans. Really, really good team, entertaining, but they are pretenders as long as the Chiefs are good, and I have to view them as such from this point forward...

I'd say thats more if a Chiefs, specifically Mahomes choke.
That 2021 AFC Championship was a huge Mahomes choke job, but the Bengals turned up in that second half. They took it to Kansas City and the Chiefs wilted...

Even last year, I don't think Burrow choked, but he had some bad plays down the stretch. The Bengals were not shook in that game though, abd that's the major difference I've seen from the Bengals two fights with KC in the playoffs, they don't play not to lose, they play to win, they aren't afraid of Kansas City...

Naw bruh he choked :heh:. He was far from Joe Cool with those throws. Left picks on the field. Bills took it to them in 21 but just left too much time (13 seconds :mjlol:) on the clock.

Just like in boxing, you don’t beat the champion trying to go the distance, you have to knock him out. Allen and McDermott came in there trying to do just enough to win instead of dominate.

Josh was dinking and dunking all night trying to avoid turnovers which kept KC in the driver’s seat even when they were down. That’s the problem with Josh Allen, either he plays like a complete moron and turns the ball over all night, or he plays completely cautious and doesn’t go down field. Of course the one time he should’ve played conservatively, he didn’t and it blew the game.

The Bills never went up by 2 scores to put any real pressure on KC, and they were lucky not to be down 14 after that fumble out of the end zone.

That being said, it makes no sense to fire McDermott and start over. A new head coach is just going to give someone else for Allen to blame. Run it back with a healthier group, move on from the aging guys on defense, and go from there.
I disagree as he went to Sherfield twice and Diggs once downfield and they dropped all three that were good balls.

Firing a coach while in cap hell is stupid. All you do is handicap the next coach. Besides it’s clear the problem is Allen and he can’t be fixed. He’s Favre. Doesn’t matter what you (coach, front office, teammates, etc) do, he’s always gonna make a stupid decision and it’s gonna sink you more than save you.
Really dumb post. How is it Josh Allen's fault his team can't hold a lead with 13 seconds remaining. His big-name receivers don't show up when it matters or his kicker blew a makeable FG?

His postseason numbers are too damn good for this First-Take level opinion.

If you're going to fault him for not being as good as Mahomes then fair enough but the rest of that shyt was nonsensical

Really a bad loss by the Bills. Can't lose a home divisional playoff game against THAT team.

I would fire McDermott. I understand the defense was undermanned, but he's continually outcoached on that side of the ball in the playoffs.

Bills need to get an offensive minded head coach for Josh Allen. Allen made some very questionable decisions in the 4th quarter. Like he was over excited.

Good balls where the receiver has to make a diving catch with a db draped all over him :skip:

Come on bros them shyts were good passes but not as catchable as you guys make it seem.

Allen missed multiple throws down the stretch of the 4th. He had that run in the 4th where he fumbled the game away if not for Kincaid batting the ball away from Chiefs defenders. And until the final two drives basically from 2ndQ on would not challenge KC's defense thru the air...

You could tell he was playing tight, McDermott was coaching tight, Buff defense played tight. Just a terrible fukking game...

Went along with this conservative ass, let's bleed the clock shyt only to miss the FG. Played not to lose, instead if playing to win!

Watch Cincinnati last two years at KC, unafraid, not rattled. SF, TB, and Philly all met KC in the Super Bowl and werent rattled...

The Buffalo Bills are terrified of the Kansas City Chiefs...
His OC doesn’t trust him. Even with all his talent.

TYRONE GA!
He shouldve gotten a fresh pair of downs. Didnt need to score so soon, anyway. Shouldve been focused on moving the chains. Youre talking about a kicker missing a TYING FG with 1:47 left. As if Mahomes wouldnt have drove them down to win the game. He had everything set out on a platter and yet he found a way to lose.

People gonna juelz and ignore this.

You really giving Project Pat 1:47 left to drive down the field and not at least get into field goal range? The same Number 15 who did it in 13 seconds a few years ago??? :mjlol:

Game tying field goal, not game WINNING field goal.

They can’t fire him, they won’t find anybody better. I know it hurts to constantly get your sh!t pushed in by kc but you gotta keep trying. This is probably the worst kc team we’ve seen in years, can they get better or continue to get worse

Exactly. Ppl are dense as fukk!! The game was lost whether he made the kick or not. That was on Allen scored a td with about 20-30 seconds left.

I disagree wholly with this - if the Bills job opens up, Vrabel/Beli/Harbaugh would all be interested IMO.

They've got to switch it up, they're 40M over the cap and the team seems to have plateaued a bit with McDermott. Not saying he's an awful coach but he's the easiest spot to upgrade.

Agreed. Thats what made Brady so dangerous. He gets a touchdown right there and gives Mahomes like 10 seconds to do the same. If the Patriots had 2 minutes just pack your bags at that point.
