I think the team last year was worse, only difference was they were a year younger
Defense this year better, but offensive line was better last year, Kelce was healthier/better, and though WRs probably about the same they were more consistent/reliable last year.

Allen should've checked down on that last drive but fukk all that. Allen was amazing tonight and damn near perfect. His receivers let him down. Somebody has to lose the game but Allen played well enough to win it.
I'm not a Josh hater but to say he was damn near perfect would be a stretch of the highest order

Window closed. Without another real OC (I loved Ken Dorsey there) or an offensive minded head coach, Allen is going to be Phillip Rivers status watching other guys get rings while he puts up empty stats.

You can’t have the cap number they have (I believe they would be 40+ million over), keep everyone you need and hope you find some ready to go replacements for next year.

They have to draft well, keep Allen happy, and most of all get that cap number low enough to bring in some A+ talent every couple of years. He’s not going to have another sustained run of being a Super Bowl contender more than 2 seasons in row from here on out. Happens to the best of them.

Or Allen has to leave as soon as he can to go to a contender.

Bottomline is Allen choked. He had the ball at the end with a chance to win. There is nothing more you can ask for in that situation. He had multiple chances to redeem himself after the offense stalled. The forced fumble for the touchback, did nothing on the following drive. Fumbles on a scramble and gets bailed out by Kincaid. Poor decision making led to them not getting a 1st down when the stage was set for a game winning td. Blaming the defense is weak, they forced a fumble after an atrocious failed fake punt and then got 2 stops on KC thereafter. Josh mismanaged the end of game scenario. Bad situational football!!

Firing a coach while in cap hell is stupid. All you do is handicap the next coach. Besides it’s clear the problem is Allen and he can’t be fixed. He’s Favre. Doesn’t matter what you (coach, front office, teammates, etc) do, he’s always gonna make a stupid decision and it’s gonna sink you more than save you.

And that'll he the most logical take, no clue how they got this far with so many injuries. Most teams missing both starting dbs and lbs wouldn't be expected to win the divisional. Unless Josh go out there and throw a bunch of turnovers yea you should blame him then. But as I current see it kelce should eat against those back up lbs all game.
See, this is what I have a problem with. Everyone acknowledges the dolphins collapse without giving credence to the injuries Miami suffered. In the last 2weeks of Miami’s season Both Buffalo and KC faced a Phins team playing guys who were couch surfing weeks prior. Nobody making excuse for Tua.

Just like in boxing, you don’t beat the champion trying to go the distance, you have to knock him out. Allen and McDermott came in there trying to do just enough to win instead of dominate.

Josh was dinking and dunking all night trying to avoid turnovers which kept KC in the driver’s seat even when they were down. That’s the problem with Josh Allen, either he plays like a complete moron and turns the ball over all night, or he plays completely cautious and doesn’t go down field. Of course the one time he should’ve played conservatively, he didn’t and it blew the game.

The Bills never went up by 2 scores to put any real pressure on KC, and they were lucky not to be down 14 after that fumble out of the end zone.

That being said, it makes no sense to fire McDermott and start over. A new head coach is just going to give someone else for Allen to blame. Run it back with a healthier group, move on from the aging guys on defense, and go from there.

I wouldn’t say he’s Favre of turnover prone. He’ll carry you more than he’ll hurt you. But when he does hurt you…boy…it’s at the worst times. And the Allen defenders refuse to acknowledge this. There’s no reason a QB with his raw(:dame:) talent make his OV view him with cati

A year later the Rams are 40-50 mil under the cap, back in the playoffs and with a recent SB win. Bills are 40-50 mil over the cap with another playoff choke.
