Today's young African-Americans are too privileged and ignorant to understand what was done for them in the past. shytting on our heritage while vomiting verbal militant nonsense is the new from of c00ning.

Notice how one generation produced results while the other has black twitter.
One generation spent 30 years getting overarching segregation and voting rights passed.
Segregation has worsened in some areas, the voting rights act was overturned recently, and the job gap is nearing the exact same point. You guys seem to forget that along with Black Panthers and small Black militant armies, they also had the backing of Cuba, the Soviet Union, and only 10% of Black people actually participated in the movement.
Don't get fooled.
We have greater participation, a much later awareness, and are fighting a different kind of racism from the ones they faced.

I go to church and I'm not Hating on black christians but.......:francis:

I feel that OP, , but let's not pretend we don't know who is pushing passive stuff now.

Also , you're young so I understand that you actually believe there were some victories from the civil rights movement. There were other groups fighting for human rights and black liberation. .... the cac chose the easy one which was black christians so called civil rights..... that really is for all people and not blacks

All types of people are passive, just like some are aggressive, psychotic.....etc

I support anyone who is able to truly forgive and move on with their lives rather than hold a grudge and carry hate in their hearts, because the former is much harder to do than the latter.

Forgiveness does not equal Condoning. Forgiveness means your actions will no longer have control of my emotions and life

That is not what forgiveness is. If I trespassed against you, and repented over what I've done, then you can forgive me.

Luke 17

3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

In Dylann Roof's case he can't repent because he's an Edomite and repentance was only given to the children of Israel.

Acts 5

30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

It wouldn't be right to ignore the positives of what churches have done for the community. Many noble deeds have been done by people, purported to be in the name of the God they believe in.

However - one must also concede the fact that in modern times, however optimistic an African American Christian individual might be, simply attending church services, handing over your money and praying for for better days will, in fact, not help you achieve better days, as evidenced by the inhumane slaughter of several unfortunate African American Christians while inside their place of worship, not to mention the ease with which Caucasian police officers are killing black African Americans, regardless of guiltiness or innocence, a luxury which seems only afforded to other Caucasians. Alternate routes and measures must be taken and taught in this time of strife; placing your hopes in higher beings appears to be altogether futile.

The black church may have been somewhat involved, but they did not put in work like the Black Panthers.

Also, those civil rights activists who worked with the church aren't necessarily indoctrinated with white jesus brainwashing, they're just working with programs trying to help black people.

And say what you want, that bible was brought to Africa for a reason. Trayvon's parents forgiving George Zimmerman is conditioning that comes from somewhere...use your fukkin brain.

While you keyboard revolutionaries talk that the teachings of Christianity teaches Black People to be passive and accept status as 2nd class citizens.......meanwhile in Reality the Black Church literally mobilized and started the Civil Right Movement that got Black People equal rights in America

This seems pretty simple to me. Anyone want to logically argue against this?
They're not.

Groups of people is all they were. "god" had nothing to do this.

And students started the civil rights movement, not churches.

- More community work than every black twitter user combined
- Still a congregation spot among older black folk
- a positive gathering spot for young black kids
- feeds people both in church and some share with the community
- offers students scholarships
- A community gathering spot of black non-destructive mentalities

The importance of the bolded cannot be overstated in these times.

GTFOH...churches aren't doing jack shyt.

Community work...church not doing shyt.

Positive gathering spot for young...no, they're still planning to go fukk later.

Gathering spot for older...is about all church is for. They're scary ass' don't know what else to do.

Feeding people...a FEW... far fewer than should be. If church was really worth a dang there wouldn't be anyone hungry out here. Instead of that building fund and pastors birthday.

Scholarships....:stopitslime: unless it's a full ride foh. I can give someone 1500.

All this to say I'm starting my own church though. :lolbron:

Of course Christians were responsible for many NWA achievements...I'd venture that 99% of us were christian! Had no choice but to be christian. As if there were really Muslims on the plantation.

Later in history when we had the freedom, there still were relatively few blacks who weren't christian.

Bigger issue is...a Christian finally losing it and busting heads would feel as though they aren't doing God's work and need to repent. Probably crying the whole time. Because that is what Christianity taught them.

So yeah, some Christians snap and "disappoint Jesus" for which they will cry and beg forgiveness later. They may snap and actually hit the massa back. Guarantee you will find them on their knees later crying about sin.

The Songhai Empire, c. 1500

Jews of the Bilad al-Sudan(Judeo-Arabic:אַהַל יַהוּדּ בִּלַדּ אַל סוּדָּן) describes West African Jewish communities who were connected to known Jewish communities from the Middle East, North Africa, or Spain and Portugal. Various historical records attest to their presence at one time in theGhana,Mali, andSonghaiempires, then called theBilad as-Sudanfrom the Arabic meaningLand of the Blacks. Jews from Spain, Portugal, and Moroccoin later years also formed communities off the coast ofSenegaland on the Islands ofCape Verde. These communities continued to exist for hundreds of years but have since disappeared due to changing social conditions, migration, and the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade. According to most accounts, the earliest Jewish settlements in Africa were in places such asEgypt,Tunisia, andMorocco. Jews had settled along the UpperNileatElephantinein Egypt. These communities were augmented by subsequent arrivals of Jews after the destruction of theSecond TempleinJerusalemin 70 CE, when 30,000 Jewish slaves were settled throughout Carthage by the Roman emperorTitus.
