But this thread is about America, not Mexico or Brazil :dwillhuh:

You made a statement about Black Christians hindering slave rebellions in AMERICA and I countered with the Most Famous Leader of an Uprising being a devout Christian. Now you talking about Cinco De Mayo :usure:
I said "the Africans that led the Indians in the Seminole wars were led by Maroons"

:dwillhuh: Are you stupid? You cant be blind because you saw the stuff about Mexico and Brazil but ignored the part about AMERICA and Haiti.

I'm saying in terms of fighting against racial attacks against black people.

What are black churches doing to protect themselves from being firebombed?

What are black churches doing to fight against the hundreds of unarmed black people who are killed by racist law enforcement

You're want the church to act as a militia? :dwillhuh: cmon bruh It's a church.

Harriet Tubman, Nat Turner, MLK.... " but, but, but all Christianity teaches Black folks to do is be happy in massas plantation"

And let's not forget that many slaves would thwart slave revolts by snitching on operations. Denmark Vesceys revolt was sabatoged by black people that snitched on the movement

While you keyboard revolutionaries talk that the teachings of Christianity teaches Black People to be passive and accept status as 2nd class citizens.......meanwhile in Reality the Black Church literally mobilized and started the Civil Right Movement that got Black People equal rights in America

This seems pretty simple to me. Anyone want to logically argue against this?

Breh, :demonic: people never make any sense when you really look into what they're saying. They're just mad at GOD.

- More community work than every black twitter user combined
- Still a congregation spot among older black folk
- a positive gathering spot for young black kids
- feeds people both in church and some share with the community
- offers students scholarships
- A community gathering spot of black non-destructive mentalities

The importance of the bolded cannot be overstated in these times.
:wow: Just destroyed all these keyboard/twitter warriors that are hating on the church and not puttin in work irl

Let me clarify. Im speaking specifically about charleston. There were actually black people from that church that's got on TV and said the shooting was not about race :snoop:

Would you agree or disagree that religion/Christianity are/were used to control black people to be docile?

No I disagree, White Supremacists using torture, death, and influence and control of laws controlled black people to be docile. But strict followers of Christianity, Black ones, have led major uprisings....over a span of centuries, without compromising the doctrines of their faith. They spearheaded the 2 biggest ones, the underground railroad and civil rights movement.

So when you say "Blacks of today" are more passive and docile. What has changed? Not the teachings of Christ I assure you, all of that is the same from the slave days to the days of MLK to now.....

you know what has changed? Blacks attend church at a record low...... :ohhh:

Do you think that black churches especially in the south should or should not have armed security to deter/prevent further attacks?

They probably can't afford it. Even the ushers are usually "working" for free. It wouldn't be a worthwhile investment anyway. Most churches are only active a few hours a day, a few hours a week. But if you can find a drunken lunatic who's willing to spend all day on the roof of a church with a rife, more power to you. but good luck finding one who's black

Besides, many multimillion dollar companies don't have armed security on their HQ's campus. :yeshrug: Roof had a vested interest in that attack most likely for the senator, not the church itself

Live your own life
Today's young African-Americans are too privileged and ignorant to understand what was done for them in the past. shytting on our heritage while vomiting verbal militant nonsense is the new from of c00ning.

Notice how one generation produced results while the other is has black twitter.

Them muthafukkas have no respect for the people that sacrificed their lives to make a difference. Dumba nikkaz talking shyt while sitting on their comfortable sofa or leather seat chair, chilling in home with a/c and internet and have the luxury to get an education unlike our ancestor who had to deal with a cruel ultra-racist society that would have killed them if they learn how to read.

I think we need to ask ourselves is the black church of those days the same as the black church today? Do they share the same collective goals and ideologies? One called for revolution, the other for the funding of creflos 65 million private jet. Perhaps the black church, as an institution, has been compromised?
