Trea Turner is 0-5 today and his season has been overwhelmingly disappointing.
He's now hitting .242/.294/.379

The Phillies are 10 games behind the Braves in the NL East, and 0.5 games behind the Giants in the Wild Card.

While Kyle Schwarber can homer at any time, hitting .186 on July 28th is pathetic, even for him.

You'd think the Phillies would show a bit more interest in making trades but I haven't seen any rumors around them at all. Maybe they're content to sit back and watch Atlanta win the pennant and take their chances next year.

Ownership could be limiting Dombrowski because of the luxury tax. But this is what Dombrowski does: trades away the farm and spends like a madman.

How do you go to ownership and say, "Turner and Schwarber are awful. I need to trade our few remaining prospects to add another $20+ million to the payroll while eliminating all future flexibility."?

They are locked into this team through 2025 at least.
