How the fukk is Chicago losing the poll?

We comparing cities or the 95 rockets to the 2001 Bulls:dwillhuh:

People don't realize Chicago is the largest urban city after New York. The two aren't comparable. Houston is more like Los Angeles. The kind of person that moves to Chicago/NYC wouldn't want to live in Houston/Los Angeles.

The beaches are horrible and in the summer it feels like hell :francis: they need to stay away.

Actually, from a few visits I think that area is comparable to the Orlando/Tampa region of Central Florida. Population wise, not much difference in those areas. The traffic is something you avoid during rush hour but other times it's ok, just live close by the area you work. Close to the beach no matter what. Very tropical atmosphere, with the palm trees and weather. Pretty good job markets in both areas. Just that Florida has a more touristy environment. Latin influence in both places.

Choosing Chicago...got relatives in Houston and honestly, that shyt is so spread out...driving to visit relatives in different parts of the city and suburbs is tiring as fukk. I love Chicago, reminds me of NYC...I love the feeling of autonomy with being in a big city like that, the winters don't bother me as well...used to stay up Buffalo, NY so the winters are trivial issue.

Definitely gave me more of a New York Vibe than a lot of other cities. Philly is another place that feels like an extension of New York.

What side are on you on :franics: Florida definitely has better beaches unless you are by Corpus Cristi. Traffic is really bad. It use to be rush hour. But rush hour can range from 6:50 to 9:00 am then 3:30 to 7:30 pm then still traffic depending on where you are during lunch hour. Even living close isn't always a help just depends on the area. I use to live in the Galleria Area, I lived about 2 mi from my job it was just inside the loop. It sill took 30 minutes to home. There is a lot of good about Houston just I don't want more people :why:

name three good things about chicago

Public transportation. You need a car in Houston.
Walkable city. Houston isn't.
Being near water. Houston isn't.
Plentiful job opportunities. Houston has a red hot job market too.
Museums, restaurants, theaters, music festivals, bars, thousands of free activities. Chicago has everything you'd want in a major city. Houston can't compare in this area.
Cost of living. Houston doesn't have a real advantage. Chicago is notoriously cheap for a major city.

The only area Texas wins on is no state income tax. You can't even say weather because while Chicago gets extremely cold in the winter, Houston is sweltering hot in the summer so you pick your poison either way.

Spend your 20s and early 30s in Chicago. Move to Houston after 35.
