Houston-area brehs, question.
What's up with the Spring, Texas area? Likely got a job lined up in the greater Houston area (specifically west of Houston proper) but I'm not trying to live in actual Houston. I've been there enough through prior jobs to know I ain't willing to fukk with that traffic and in general, I'm far too low-key of a person to want to be directly in the shyt.
Looking more at Cypress/Spring in terms of where to actually lay my head. Seems quiet but not too far away to where if I want to get into Houston for whatever, I can (roughly 30-45 minutes) but I wouldn't have to leave the immediate area for essentials.
What say y'all?

I'd lean more towards Cypress, but I'd also recommend areas closer like Timbergrove, Shady Acres, Oak Forest/Garden Oaks.
Seems like there's a small indie black film scene popping up in the city since the 5th ward film festival started in the old DeLuxe Theater, which just got a huge million dollar renovation a few year ago.

I keep telling people- If you young, successful, and aados 5th ward, 3rd ward, 4th ward, Studewood, Acres Homes etc is where it's at right now. These places are booming with new investments. We need to get in on that. Don't get pimped by gentrification. The burbs are a bad investment, unless it's one of the few that aspire to be their own planned lil micro city like the Woodlands(and they don't want your ass either). The rest are dead as donkey shyt.
Frenchtown 5th ward is getting a whole new Market Square slated to open in 2022.
VISIT
Not to mention the new Liberty Square residence in the nickel.
It really is a waste of money, resources, and a whole lot of cultural intangibles moving out to the burbs.
Lets hear it for twin Charlo, Jermell, for bringing another one of them belts back to H-town, after stopping Harrison in 11th in revenge for his decision loss in their last fight.

I'm from the Northside the crime in Spring/Spring Branch is getting bad.People are stealing truck rims and breaking in houses. Its quiet but keep your head on a swivel .Mexicans are deep out there tooHouston-area brehs, question.

You don’t want to live in spring or cypress if you will be working on the west. Traffic to and from work will be horribleHouston-area brehs, question.

Chris Senegal launched a crowd sourcing campaign to buy shares in a black owned development company buying up land in 5th ward to revitalize the area without pricing out it's current residents. The campaign has already raised $136,550. Anyone have any experience with crowdsourcing shares?

@newworldafro Show me a burb where investments are pooring in as rapidly as these hoods. AADOS who can't see the value right under their own noses deserved to get pimped by gentrification.
