Any Coli brehs make it to The Turkey Leg Hut? I'm from that side of town and still havent been there. It's always way too packed. All the celebs stopping by doesn't help.
I've wanted to try but it's too packed all the time. When I saw a commercial for it with Willie D in it I gave up on ever trying to go. :francis:

It's damn good. Wait time for a table inside is horrendous lol (all the ppl you see standing in a line along the building), and you will get ticketed or tolled if you park before the first cross street on the right side of TLH.

Didn't take long for the food to come out once we ordered tho. Some damn good turkey and stuffing. Hit the treadmill after bc food like that is how you become a fat nikka

Mayne was riding around Hillcroft yesterday...that ho is little India
All the Indians and Arabs live and run businesses over there

Asians got Bellaire
Mexicans got 4-8 areas

Black people ain't got shyt

:mjcry:

Third Ward/Southeast Houston, 5th Ward, parts of Southwest, parts of Northside like Greenpoint.

I see your point though. Where is the densely commercial and vibrant area of Black owned businesses on the same level as those other groups??? :francis:

That Bellaire Road Chinatown has to be the largest, in sheer size, Chinatown/AsiaTown in the U.S....:mindblown:

Third Ward, with Texas Southern at the center should be bubbling like this song, with black commerce and young professional black residents
(Yes, Tio Choko is from Houston, check his videos)

Tio Choko, Houston Rodeo's official all encompasing dance maestro.

As many quinceaneras that happen in Houston every weekend, he and crew could :eat:tremendously. They tapped an unseen market....waits for the imitators. :russ:

One of the comments said he is invited to all the African parties. Securing multicultural bags. :ehh:

I’ve been out here for like a month from Michigan. I’m staying with my sister in Houston near Pearland. But I work downtown in med center. Thinking about moving downtown. Anybody else live downtown tell me what it’s like? I hear the homeless population is pretty bad but everything I could ever need would be close by.

Yeah the homeless are deep down there. I used to stay closed to Downtown but the rent just started to get ridiculous so I just made that move and bought a house. Some of those loft apartments are really nice though. Especially the ones next to Minute Maid Park and Toyota Center.

I don't live in that area but i occasionally go there on weekends with friends. We went to cle pool party today by capital bar and homeless ppl were everywhere parking lot pimping

Soon as you walked out there were at least 5 walkin up in down lookin to holla at you for doe like broke dudes would holla at a chick leavin a club they couldn't get into. If you valet park, they'll be waiting to ask for money bc they know you had to pay 10 or 20 to park. At night you'll see 'em sleepin on the ground or pushing they cart... or congregating to the bar/club areas to ask ppl standing in line for cash.

Or posted up at at a cvs/walgreens so they can ask everyone who goes in or out. They do this in the galleria area too.

They largely harmless (or at least they don't want smoke with me :hubie:) but it's very noticeable and a damn shame

HTX folks this Kruangbin band is making waves globally, they're from the area and record in a barn out in countryside. The band name is Thai for airplane, and that's part of their eclectic instrumental influence: 60s/70s Thai funk, other Asian, rock, gospel, jazz, hip hop, African, Spanish, etc...almost genre-less.

If you like chill music with a bop..and some global music DNA.....this might be for you.
Play the last video while you hanging with folks and see how it goes over.:jbhmm:

:salute: went to Apple Music and added their shyt. Some cuts in there :wow:

That’s because Cle isn’t too far from that McDonald’s downtown by the bus station. That McDonald’s is infested with bums like damn roaches

It’s like any other city. It gets worse around the greyhound station. I used to have to go down there at 5-6am and man it never felt safe. Cats running up on you begging out of no where etc

There is a coffee place in the spring branch area that just opened this past Saturday called "The smoking pot coffee shop". I haven't tried it yet cause the lines was hella long. I'll go there sometime later on this week.
