What part of reducing the damage do you not understand?

If that is done then damage would of been less than it is now.

Better than doing nothing.

How do you reduce the damage? Where are you going to put the water? Where are you going to pump it? How do you control how much the sky drops the next time? Measures are in place, which is why we don't have this situation every time we have a bad weather storm. But when this much rain drops in that period of time, there just isn't anything you can do.

Ask the engineers who mentioned their plans to reduce flooding. :camby:

Those same engineers were just trying to leach more money off the city after they had already made millions working for the city. That is exactly why I said ONE link wouldn't give you the answer you were looking for, and even that link was from 2010. We've really only had 2 flooding events since then and no engineers are going to reduce flooding for the amount of rain we got last night or on Memorial weekend last year. It just isn't going to happen breh. 240 billion gallons of water just in Harris county alone, unless there is an engineer out there that is Houdini, they can't just make that water disappear.

And ABC13 set him up with the jig, had him speaking about what he was doing/did for Greenspoint while we watched them be rescued by non city officials live in the splitbox.
