People have been flooded out since 4:00AM this morning as of 3:00pm this afternoon the city still had not sent any help to the residents of Arbor Court in the Greenspoint area. They were even saying there wasn't even going to be a Metro bus coming to help which is bs. Thank God for the volunteers who were able to get over there to help get these people to safety. Then the news goes to Mayor Turner and his ass talm bout they've been doing thousands of rescues in the area foh nikka. Even the news people were calling city officials out live on air asking where the fukk is the help. The city has plenty of resources available to help mothafukkas in gotdammy Katy, Sugarland, Pearland, River Oaks, etc.but yo ass get caught in the hood you on your own.

this.
i get the whole "safer to stay in your house" these people livin in first floor apartments cant just stay in the house.

What I got from this is to make sure when I move to look for places that are resistant to flooding.

You can always check the planning department website for most cities and look up something like "floodplain" or "flood zone"..and usually a city will have interactive GIS maps.
