I used to say it to sound cool but I realized I might for real just be a high rise condo type of dude.

I've rented two huge houses and I don't like it. Too much space for me and the upkeep is too much.

A condo has no bugs. No lawn mowing. Safe AF. Great view and amenities. :ehh:

Whats your choice in the future when it comes time to put money down on a spot?

If I buy, I would do a house. If you do get a condo check on the occupancy and stability of the other owners if you can. If a bunch of people leave or drop out, the remainders may have to shoulder more association fees.

This is correct. They can have special assessments for all sorts of stuff. Also there are condo fees which can be pretty hefty. When all is said and done it may be cheaper to do the upkeep on a home. You also cant do anything to the home other than whats on the inside. Additionally, you may have neighbors or shared walls which could be annoying. Ive owned both and while it was nice being in a condo and having less to worry about, i am happy to own a house and property now and not have to worry about a special assessment hitting my pockets.

I'd go for the house thought I love the high rise vibe. Condo fees would be my biggest turn off. I was doing some research and saw a lot of really nice condos when very affordable prices...then you see the fees and its damn near a mortgage by itself lol.
