Horrible writing. Shes the main ambassador for the queen while at the vale. She should be on a horse in front or middle of the guards escorting her out. Yet shes slightly behind and then runs off and no one looks back once

Also how do you know the dragons name? Its never been said in the show

But why would Larys bother putting Otto in prison and why would he risk locking up the Alicents father AFTER he was booted out of KL

I kinda agree that it’s likely Larys as it fits his character, but I don’t see the reasoning behind it. Now if it ends up being some shyt that happened off screen with a completely different person or group of people that would be bad.

Why wouldn't he risk it upon him leaving KL? He can't do it in KL. You see Larys bonding with Aegon, who is the sitting king, tapping into his flaws and looking to mold him into the king Larys himself has no right towards being. And now whisking him off to another continent to let the other contenders kill each other.

Larys is striving to be what Otto was to Jahaerys and Viserys...he can't let Otto come back.

This series demonstrates the reality of human nature and character archetypes causing cycles in history. Larys is the predecessor to Littlefinger/Varys/Tyrion. They can't assert their ambitions because they don't have the exact status or brawn to withstand a direct defense against them, so they have to tap into the psyche of more important/imposing figures and "guide" them.

The way this shyt ended was so ass I went down a rabbit hole to read about the meaning behind Daemon's vision and spoiled myself on the fate of all the Targaryens. At least what happens in the book.

I doubt each season will have 8 episodes. They seem intent on fukking this up.

The entire story could have been told in ten episodes across three seasons.

If they do 4 seasons of 8 that's only 2 more episodes than 3 x 10.

I wasnt aware if they mentioned the name or not, i thought they did bit maybe not

To be honest i read the the books, thats how i
know the name. I wouldnt even mention the name if i didnt think it was already known . But to be fair, last weeks episode they did show a bunch of animal bones and carcasses in its wake so the name shouldnt be a suprise.

For real tho, if u check all my posts in this thread or the original GOT thread i never once dropped a single spoiler, prediction, or speculation. I 100% hate people that do that.

If anyone feels that namedrop is a spoiler, i apologize

I didn't have a problem with them ending the season on a "moving the chess pieces in position" note, but the Alicent conversation was so devoid of logic it hurt my head


How does Rhaenyra dare bring up a "son for a son" and Alicent not remind her about the grandson being butchered ? How is the woman who was ready to die over her son losing an eye reduced to this shell of herself sacrificing her blood to cut a deal ?

But another long delay before S3 and a similar season in quality to this one, & the GOT franchise is gonna go the way of TWD and eventually lose culturally cache til they finally put it to bed.

Ehh, GoT already did the lose cultural cache thing. TWD still spitting out shows too.
HotDS2's finale was bad for being a finale but overall season was aight. They also got another spinoff dropping next year and plan to do other shows.
