Honestly Rhaenyra should have given Daemon full control of team black once Lucerys was killed. She's too indecisive....first she wants blood, then peace, then war. Come on now.

He was ready for action, he wanted to roll deep and go straight for Vhagar right away. And after watching Meleys Im sure together they could have killed that big bytch. That would have basically won the war right there. Without Vhagar nobody would roll with the Greens, and Rhaenyra would have been getting crowned ruler of the seven kingdoms by that afternoon.
These two things could not happen. Daemon is/was not really bout making her queen. At least not for long if he did :demonic:

"Whereas she’s very specifically going for the dragon: Let’s take out the weaponry, and don’t burn everybody else randomly."

Thats the approach team black should have had from jump honestly. Just go for the dragons and call it a day.

Vhagar was the easiest and most valuable target to attack. The MF sleeps out in the open, not in a dragon pit and is slow as shyt. Caraxes and Meleys could have killed it anytime they wanted to apparently, and thats the end of the war. If Rhaenyra was serious about preventing a bloody war they could have ended it immediately. But that wouldnt have made for a great story. :francis:

She's always been like this. She coulda killed them all in the Dragonpit but didn't. Another reason as to why she volunteered to go. She's been pushing for a peaceful solution the entire time because she's watching her cousin's kids kill eachother.

Her death made no sense. Y coming back for seconds and 3rds. Especially after seeing the king fall

Leaving meant the abandonment of sworn supporters and bannermen in the castle. She was too honorable to subject the entire castle to ruin by fleeing, honor compelled her to fight on.

One thing I like about this show compared to GoT is there's more focus on the ideologies and customs. There have been multiple scenes with knights discussing honor and what it demands. And while Rhaenys obviously wasn't a knight, she was raised as a princess/lady and understood treating bannermen like her children. She was never gonna run away, it would devastate Rhaenyra's cause.

Brehlaryon the Washed :mjcry:

she didn't look so horrible on nurse jackie. but then again, that show ended over 10 years ago at this point.

I missed out on the OG Thrones threads at the time but I see what you mean. I’m sitting here confused why people think Rhaenys committed suicide or didn’t flee when she had an opening.

Do brehs think you can just dip out of a battle and maintain your honor? Even if it was a losing battle, no honorable warrior would just… leave. That would go against her entire character arc. How would she explain that after volunteering for this mission?

Not only that, her dragon was clearly holding her own with Vhagar until the end.
Stannis at Blackwater
Jon Snow at Hardhome
Danny, Jon Snow beyond the wall
Daemon vs Mr.Crabs
Etc.
