:wtf:

Do you realize how silly you sound? RTB was organized FOR WU-TANG. There was even a documentary on how the whole tour almost fell apart when Wu didn't show up.

Matter of fact....

Wu Tang Clan - Disciples Of The 36 Chambers (LIVE) - YouTube

Literally thousands of people, in Cali, shouting for Wu-Tang, and they ain't the reason all those people are there? :heh:

And :wtf: at "they wasn't big". They were so big Pac wanted to sign them to Death Row East. Think about that....they were so big the biggest record label on the west coast wanted to sign them. The fact that you're trying to equate that to "someone in NY listening to E-40" is :heh:

Fred.
the event is a hip hop festival it doesn't matter who started it it would've still been a success because of the names who're performing...it's over 10 acts performing and you give all the credit to wu tang? pac wanted to sign them because their successful artists wtf does that have to do with them being big in cali? i'm not arguing which ya nut snuggling ass no more

But production is subjective.

or maybe you just don't like upbeat tracks.

and maybe he just doesn't care for rza. obviously if he likes the infamous and JOE, then he likes dark raw beats.

stuff like the bolded always irks the hell out of me. in reality, mannie & beowolf are much more in line with the original hip-hop than RZA. hip-hop was built off partying. theres like less than a handful of RZA beats with any actual party value. the rza isn't hip-hop.

dog, you can just look at juvenile's cash money catalog. every single album he dropped sounds different.

sure the production is gonna run into each other seeing that its all coming from the same producer. like it or not, the production on those wu records tend to run into each other as well.

Yeah - I already made the point you're trying to make when I said production wa subjective.

The RZA ain't hip hop now? I get that you're trying toile a point, but you lose credibility if you're just willing to say anything.

Depends on what you mean by big. They weren't big like :pachaha: was, but no one was. They had a fan base in CA though. I wasn't the only person buying all the Wu projects in CA. People were familiar with their stuff.

stop with the vagueness...it might've been a few fans sprinkled here and there but they never had a real fan base

subtlety agreeing by saying they weren't as big as pac :stopitslime:...no artists was

Right. That's exactly what I said. Why don't you be more precise with what you mean.

They had a fan base in CA. That's a fact. At least in Northern CA. I can't speak for Southern CA, although I met cats from out there who were into Wu in college.

So what do you mean they weren't big?

the fact that you met a few dudes in college who were fans proves my point...a fan base is a household name...i'm from the bay and never have i heard wu tang be brought up in any hip hop discussions...i can walk up to people on the street now and i bet they couldn't name 5 songs from them

Sounds like you were sheltered. How old were you from 93-97? I refuse to believe you didn't know anyone who listened to Wu.
