Calm down. I guarantee I'm older than you.
Go on then?
You can't be serious .. What other influence on ready to die came from the chronic?

Go on with what? I just said he was influenced a little bit by the Chronic by sampling Little Ghetto Boy from the album. You acting like I said he bit the whole album. Calm down. He looked up to Snoop and Dre and its been stated numerous times by the man himself in interviews. Hell he even said the shyt on Somebody's Got To Die on LAD. I'm in no way saying he bit The Chronic or Snoop but he was a fan just like most everyone was back then and influenced.Go on then?

Ready to die was influenced by the chronic, not in a biting fashion though.
The influence is that instead of puff being a hater of the west ,he wanted to learn and model RTD after greatness.
And they executed it to near perfection. They had the crossover songs and equally great grimy street muisc. Biggie was one of the handful of great artists that performed so great that his vocals during his verses would be as memorable as a great hook. Rather he rhymed over a dope melody, mediocre melody or just an ok melody,he could draw you in with a great performance.
I don't see it bruh. We could sit here and say ready to die was influenced by all classic albums that came before it. For me it sounds nothing like the chronic so I don't hear any influence .. Your opinion tho
it doesn't sound like the chronic at all. But it was the only album from that area that represented that same level of greatness at the time.I don't see it bruh. Influence and sound like are two different things and you seem to not know the difference. Im 37 by the way and remember specific interviews from Puff and Big at the time saying out of their mouths how The Chronic influenced (different from sounds like) Ready To Die. Hell other posters in here remember it too. I guess we all wrong and too young to know what we talking about right? No beef but no need to come at my neck for having a different opinion. I mean I know that's what we do on here but don't go assuming just bc you disagree.Lmao posting a pic with snoop, really? What's that supposed to prove
And I said go on with dropping your age.
If you're gonna make statements like ready to die was influenced by the chronic you need to back it up. Biggie may have been a fan but you can't hear NO influence on his album compared to the chronic. The chronic was a straight west coast album. Ready to die sounds absolutely nothing like it. And you quoting the "trying to sell records like snoop, oops" line is just reaching
You're entitled to your opinion but personally I think you got it twisted majorly if you think the chronic influenced ready to die .. Two completely different albums in every sense of the word

I can respect that but lets just agree to disagree on some things and leave it at that. Have a good one and be blessed.I know the difference .. You posted saying ready to die was influenced by the chronic and you used the chorus for things done changed as an example. That example was dres lyrics from a song. Thus sounding alike. There's no beef but I wouldn't expect a 37 year old to have an opinion that biggie was shouting on the mic on the album .. It's pretty much classes world wide as one of the greatest albums. We don't all have to share the same opinion but you sounded like a young dude with that one.
@bigbadbossup2012 yeah I mean we could say straight outta compton .. Doggystle .. Amerikkkas most wanted .. 36 chambers .. They all could all have influenced the album with levels of greatness ..
For me if an album influenced another then it will sound like it .. That's what influential is to me
