Honestly what’s so good about Baker Mayfield?

Not true.

His first yr at OU, he was 1 read...if that wasn't there he tucked and ran. By the end of that yr he was going thru 2 reads

2 yr he was pretty much reading but brcame very reliant on Dede Westbrook deep

3rd yr he was standing in the pocket and had multiple reads. Changing plays at the line etc

The one caveat is OU had the best Online in cfb for his final season. So he had time to be comfortable.

He’s either regressed or maybe he can’t make reads as well as you think...

Either way he looks bad.

Freddie Kitchens is not doing Baker any favors either.

But Baker needs to stop waiting until Odell gets open to make a throw.

There is a bunch of problems with Cleveland offensive philosophy if we're being reality.

Baker needs to humble himself and assess his own game honestly. It's still only his second year but he is worrying about the media and shyt instead of how can I be better tomorrow than I was today, that's a bad mentality.

From what I'm seeing ... he appears to be looking for big plays or no plays. They don't appear to have the O-Line for the backyard style that lends itself to, and it doesn't help that with all the hype and expectations on the team... he could be pressing for success and/or teams are especially geeked up to play them.

With the skill position talent Cleveland has, I get it, but ... the best quarterback of all-time largely got to that status by taking what the defense gave him -- a tactic that helped make Jarvis Landry one of the best underneath WRs in the game -- and no more.

But objectively speaking, dude has legit talent.

All the jokes and derision is well warranted. When a team/player gets that much hype without an established track record it almost never works out. That said, "sophomore slump" is a thing for a reason. He/they will bounce back. The SB talk might have been a little over the top but they will still be in the playoff mix.
