Is there one on the forums I don’t know about? Figured I would start one for anyone wanting advice or is currently in the middle of a build like myself.

I’m running a JVC 56u with a Denon 4520ci and a Pyle power amp going to Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers.

Just finished the digital scrolling marquee today, just have to build the frame for it but it swing horizontally so we can use it as a play room tv.

What's dope about my projector, is that I hook up my WD 4TB HD full of ripped movies with DolbyHD and DTS, and it has passthrough to the receiver. I run KODI for movie playback and to play retro games. Gaming on consoles is dope too, because the lag is miniscule.

I'm honestly comfortable with the sound I get. I'm saving up for a Klipsch set from Costco, but I'm not sure if I want to upgrade to the newest Xgimi projector with 4K first. If I don't update the whole speaker system, I may just cop a subwoofer off of Marketplace, because these new joints, with the way their audio is mixed, tend to push my sub too hard.

Get your equipment used off marketplace. There are very very good deals to be had. That’s where I got my projector & avr from for $$. I’m embarrassed to say how much I paid for my projector but suffice to say the guy who sold it to me it was his father in laws who had “fk you” money

You can lookup the retail on the projector I have just to give you an idea. Dude said it stopped working with his “dvd” player after an update and bushed it to the garage with only 100 hours on the whole unit. The unit is more than some people make in an entire year

If you want an affordable option for a sports ticker in your home theater i'd recommend this. around $200 and no subscriptions for the data required.

yep just wifi.

They don't have it on amazon though, i think it ships internationally because it took a while to arrive. Like 3 weeks.

Only drawback i've noticed so far it doesn't have holes in the back for wall mounting. so for now i have it on a counter top. gonna have to build a floating shelf for or some L brackets to put it up on the wall.

Just put in the in wall and ceiling channels. Acoustically transparent screen arrives Xmas Eve. Just need to save up a little for the $2k I’ll need for the last 3 most expensive in wall LCR’s and the alpha build will be done.

Star ceiling will finish out the room then it’s just cosmetics, sound treatments, insulation, and a little paint on the trim, doors, and maybe go to black carpet.

You can kind of see my rack mounted setup and my jvc 56u, excuse the old Benq that was the first projector I used just to get the room in use since we’ve only been here 10 months.
