Just put in the in wall and ceiling channels. Acoustically transparent screen arrives Xmas Eve. Just need to save up a little for the $2k I’ll need for the last 3 most expensive in wall LCR’s and the alpha build will be done.

Star ceiling will finish out the room then it’s just cosmetics, sound treatments, insulation, and a little paint on the trim, doors, and maybe go to black carpet.

You can kind of see my rack mounted setup and my jvc 56u, excuse the old Benq that was the first projector I used just to get the room in use since we’ve only been here 10 months.

I try. Started with a completely blank slate of a white room, with white carpet, and a fkn window…..in a theater room

I’m about $3k or so away from being done with this room so I can turn my attention to other projects.

I test fired the speakers then put on the final battle scene in infinity war. System had a Nga ready to pull up on Thanos with T’Challa on the front lines
Wife says nobody can be in the master bedroom while we watch movies cause it sits on top of that room and you can hear everything “clear as day”. The theater is on the second floor and 3 rooms away for reference

Yeah luckily that riser and everything associated with it was already built in so it made this job a lot easier. For the house being built in 06 they did a good job future proofing a few things, that small detail (and the in wall wiring already being there) were a coupon details. I won’t be using the pre built wiring though since it doesn’t join at the meeting point I wanted, there was also no real power going to the room so I had my electrician run a sub panel with dedicated breakers specifically for the theater room

Kef is a good brand. If they werent so damn expensive I would’ve gone that route for their in wall LRc’s

Def not cheap, need to get an independent amp to power them as my next upgrade I think. @Spence love the work you are getting into your setup though!

Im adding the govee t2 setup with some extra lights for the full effect.
