:wtf:

Its actually an excellent deal. Show me something that isn't an cheap korean knockoff that offers the same compelling hardware in a revolutionary design? Again, only the Macbook Air's could possibly qualify but since they aren't touch screen like the Surface they automatically lose in my book. Again, for the power user this is actually an EXCELLENT bargain for the price. The better versions will be released next year though once the upcoming Intel clover trail chips are incorporated into the next generation. Those tablets will likely last closer to 8 hours.

I just dont see the value. Im sure it works for some which is why I consider it niche. Me personally I'm better off with a notebook for that price. In the future once it's refined and cheaper maybe it would be worth it but 4 hr battery life :sadcam:

trash.... microsoft better be paying you good money @Hiphoplives4eva

:ahh:

But seriously, given the competition on the market this device is far from trash. I own the RT and love the form factor to death. I'll likely keep my current unit as I value battery life over everything when it comes to portability though. Im sure power users will perfer this device though.

not a good look at all. I just googled ultra books and they're running from 7-9 bills.

4 hours is unacceptable. And that might be under moderate use as well.

ultra books are a joke for now there are plenty of good cheap laptops out, just last week there was HP with i5 processor , 8 gigs of ram and 1TB hard drive for like $450-$550 , i recommend it to someone else in a the deals subforum , that basically the same laptop i have now minus the beats branding/software which mine has and its a beast for regular user, dam near double the battery life too

You guys must be all morons. First off, THIS THING IS AN ULTRABOOK, not a laptop. Remember, this thing has an i5 processor, 4 gigs of RAM, but has the form factor of a tablet. The closest thing to this beast would be an entry level Mac Book Air that starts at $999 for 64 gigs of memory with only 4 hours of battery life. The sad part is that many of you so called "tech enthusiasts" are extremely ignorant when it comes to technology. If you want something that lasts all day get an ARM tablet or a Surface RT. IF you want more power on the go, get somthing with an intel chip like an ultrabook or a Surface Pro. But don't think your going to get the same battery life on an ARM based tablet that you would get on a unit with an i5 processor. There currently doens't exist a "tablet" that can run a FULL Desktop OS at full speed for 8-10 hours for $199 or whatever you broke fukks think is affordable.

:snoop:

Sounds like you are the moron to me. I don't give a shyt if I made $100,000 a year, no way would I buy this shyt. Most people who use computers have no clue which devices they should be buying. They see dumb asses like you hyping up the hardware like the average user is going to need all this shyt, and they go and buy it. 2 weeks later they are calling me to fix their shyt because they have no clue why their computer is running slow and "but but but I spent $1000 and now I can't even get on the internet now". Ultrabook, Laptop, Tablet, etc....$1000 should never be spent on these devices unless your career/hobby consists of professional video editing, software or sound engineering, or something like that. How about your dumb ass buys it, and enjoy!!!!! I have an Galaxy S3 for basic daily tasks, Ipad2 that collects dust, an Inspiron 5450 that was given to me because it was "broke", just incase I need a laptop again one day(haven't used it in years), and a gaming desktop that I built for $550 (plays BF3 multiplayer on ultra with no problems)...thats everything you could possibly need....different devices for different situations (home, school, work, or anywhere in general) and still just barely spent $1000 on all of those
