899 for the starting model and "approximately half the battery life of the surface rt" .....I'm sorry but this is a major fail IMO. I had high hopes for the pro model but comming off almost a stack for the lowest model after taxes with like 4 hour battery life is not hot...fukk.

I guess I'll be waiting for a 7-8 inch galaxy note or apple to take 10 years before they make a new os for their tablets smh.

I can't pay that much..and yea I know its a full laptop experience...but 64gigs in a full laptop for 899.. and that's not including having to cop a keyboard to go with it for that true laptop experience if you want it...Microsoft dropping the ball on this. I thought they were gonna get super aggressive and shake apple/Google up on the tablet side...but I don't see it now.

Everywhere
It's an SSD drive and has a 1080p screen, I'm not defending it though.

I think the Ultrabooks coming out this Spring with the new Intel processors are gonna be worth more than the S Pro. Probably be able to play some games decently too if you're into that.

Don't get me wrong..its probably (although doubt it) worth the money in parts...but damn...I am not paying a fukking stack for a laptop/tablet with a small fraction of hard drive space and only 4 hours of battery life on something that was supposed to be "tablet portable" with the blessing of having full laptop esque work...I can't carry this thing around with no worries off to work without plugging it in throughout the day..that's rediculous...folks might as well just buy a regular fukkin laptop smh.

They fukked up. There price points are not going to set them up for success. They aren't trying to move units I wonder what the attach rate will be for this device.

They shouldn't even release it if the battery isn't worth a damn. If you can't get 8-10 hrs from a tablet it's of no use I don't care if you can use it as a full laptop.

You guys must be all morons. First off, THIS THING IS AN ULTRABOOK, not a laptop. Remember, this thing has an i5 processor, 4 gigs of RAM, but has the form factor of a tablet. The closest thing to this beast would be an entry level Mac Book Air that starts at $999 for 64 gigs of memory with only 4 hours of battery life. The sad part is that many of you so called "tech enthusiasts" are extremely ignorant when it comes to technology. If you want something that lasts all day get an ARM tablet or a Surface RT. IF you want more power on the go, get somthing with an intel chip like an ultrabook or a Surface Pro. But don't think your going to get the same battery life on an ARM based tablet that you would get on a unit with an i5 processor. There currently doens't exist a "tablet" that can run a FULL Desktop OS at full speed for 8-10 hours for $199 or whatever you broke fukks think is affordable.

:yeshrug: it's a niche device. 1000 + for something like this just isn't a good deal.

battery life is weak for an ultrabook. would rather get one of those hybrids

:wtf:

Its actually an excellent deal. Show me something that isn't an cheap korean knockoff that offers the same compelling hardware in a revolutionary design? Again, only the Macbook Air's could possibly qualify but since they aren't touch screen like the Surface they automatically lose in my book. Again, for the power user this is actually an EXCELLENT bargain for the price. The better versions will be released next year though once the upcoming Intel clover trail chips are incorporated into the next generation. Those tablets will likely last closer to 8 hours.
