Don’t b mad at me cuz u asked a dumbass question :umad:

nikka said “streaky shooter, not a good shooter”. Lamelo shot 39% from 3 on 8 attempts per game last season. Your simple Simon ass would fit right into the warriors scouting dept :russ:
40% overall from the field?

40% overall from the field?
43% from the field
39% from three on high volume

say what you want about LaMelo but he was one of the best shooters in the league last season

and again, he commandeered a top 10 offense his second year in the league, and made the all star team in his 2nd year :manny:

dude is special, and he's living up to the hype that he had coming into the draft. saying you dont see know what's special about him shows you're just not watching, or if you are, you aren't comprehending. it's a crazy bad take

taking a bad fit like wiseman will never justify passing on lamelo. If you truly understand what makes the warriors so good stylistically, you would NEVER even consider drafting wiseman.

FG% is a outdated metric.

You can't really use it for players who shot high-volume threes.

He shot 51.7 eFG% last season which is around about league-average (to put it into perspective, it's right in line with Dame's career-efficiency). Attempting 7 threes a game at 39% is great, especially since he had to create those looks himself alongside a weak support cast.

So they brought up PBJ and Rollins from the G-League to get cooked by New Orleans, while letting Wiseman stay down there and stew?

How the mighty have fallen. That's gotta burn.

My whole thing about the "should've drafted Melo" crowd is that it would likely mean Poole never gets a chance to shine and the team would be in pretty much the same situation they are in now where they still need big men and still need defense in the second unit.

Poole>>>>>Melo

fight me :birdman:

But now you're trying to justify his average shooting. Which is fine, you say he's league average... that's not a GOOD shooter.

You're completely misinterpreting those stats.

Attempting 7 threes per game and hitting them at 39% makes you a great shooter, especially when you take into consideration he generates those looks himself and isn't reliant on others getting him open.

His efficiency on total shots is around league-average, but the important thing of note here is that he's a high-volume scorer. The league-average efficiency is based on all players, which includes all those who score on considerably smaller volume and have less defensive attention. This is why I used Dame as a reference, because he's a high-volume scorer too, and his career-efficiency is the same, just to give you a general idea of LaMelo's efficiency.

Obviously, he's not on Steph's level (because nobody is), but he's still an efficient scorer given his volume/role.

If you're trying to make some point about him not being this home-run pick instead of Wiseman, all you've got to do is take a look at how Wiggins' efficiency has improved since he's been in The Bay, where he was once in a similar situation as LaMelo (in Minnesota):

Wiggins in Minny - 48 eFG%
Wiggins in GS - 54 eFG%.

Now just imagine how much more efficient LaMelo would be if he played in this system.

It's getting sad in here that cats are trying to tear down a player who's proven himself to be a star, all just to make themselves feel better that the player they drafted and believed in is back in the G-League.

All this time and energy wasted defending a bum when y'all franchise has built a dynasty.

It's for the best that he's traded to another team just to get everyone to move on, but it looks like Lacob is wanting to die on that hill 1000x over.

It’s weird of you to try to pretend to be a voice of reason when you’re the sole reason that Wiseman is so polarizing in this thread. Wiseman would be an afterthought in this thread if you weren’t here to say “2-0 since wiseman has benched” after every win.

Is that why you said you retired from this thread and then in a following game showed back up in here bringing up how they lost without him, trying to pat yourself on the back for some nonsensical point you were trying to make? Is that why @threattonature did the same thing during a game when he wasn't even mentioned?

He wouldn't be an afterthought because posters like yourself would feel the need to keep bringing him up for the sake of telling on yourselves. Just like @Regular_P is doing because he got fooled by Wiseman too and is in here trying to cover it up by dapping defense-posts from afar.

Look at how you can't even post in this thread anymore if it isn't a discussion about him.

I am the voice of reason because I saw this shyt coming from a mile away.

Once again, I stopped coming to this thread because of you and your sidekicks. Which goes back to Wiseman, so once again you are the common denominator.

He absolutely would be an afterthought if it weren’t for you because there would be nothing to argue about. People would say he is a bust, should be traded, etc then would move on. No one would be trying to win an award for being correct.

You’re entire identity in this thread is basking in glory about Wiseman and sending reminders that others were wrong :heh:
