If you're a Harry Potter fan, yes, it's worth it. Go into it with the expectation that it's an open world adventure with a Harry Potter coating, and not that it's a Hogwarts student simulator and you'll have a great time. As a HP fan, my biggest complaints were the absence of side activities, the pedestrian main story, and that there just wasn't enough of Hogwarts itself.

That said, the combat was satisfying, the supporting cast were mostly likeable, and it's the closest a AAA game has come to making me feel like I was actually in that universe. It's a solid game and actually exceeded my expectations.
