Didn't rappers in the '80s have songs called Pewee-Herman, Nightmare on My Street, Picking Boogers and dances called The Rodger Rabit and Smurf?when songs with name titles such as
Hanna Montana
Lex Luger
Ric Flair
Versace
Scooby Doo
John Doe
Johny Quest
Became accepted as hit records, to be fair it started with "white T" and "laffy taffy" .
Do u know how easy it is to hit a studio and create a song called "black beiber" over a monumental beat with a catchy hook ?

This is nothing new....
I dunno, I was 8 years oldwere they forced down your throat ? [/I]
Hoe ass nikkas tryna make a quick buck killed Hip-Hop ...from the Franchize Boyz it was down hill, like Nas said, it went stale.
Magna Carta Holy Grail was the nail in the coffin, Jay-Z made it clear "white people's opinions matter in Hip-Hop". Which is why Macklemore took home that award.
But those quick bucks wouldn't have been possible without a large female consumer fan base
as an old bboy ..art probally can cosign
i rememner during the 80s and early 90s females.weren't into rap like that they were into al b sure and keith sweat etc.
I cant believe Jay z made a song about the creator of tiny dress pants.Hoe ass nikkas tryna make a quick buck killed Hip-Hop ...from the Franchize Boyz it was down hill, like Nas said, it went stale.

When rappers started doing that shyt in the gold rush era of Hip Hop (1996-2008), a lot of them dropped a lot of sub-par to shytty material for that hot single and image based bullshyt. They may gain attention to the hoes, but a lot of hardcore Hip Hop supporters lost their trust in these rappers with they shytty albums,
jiggy bytch ass ho nikkaz who are toys.
making songs about tricking and flashy shyt killed the rebellious spirit of Hip Hop. It killed off innovation too.
I notice how you blame franchise boys..
then, omit the main culture thief of all time, nas.
art barr
Examples please?
We gotta place the blame on the labels brehs 8:36
we cant really blame females for buying what they wanted to hear,i always say the black female market and the streets is all you need to sustain a career...and a single for the females or party single is all that's necessary to bring chicks in and the rest can be real shyt...great rappers who represent the streets who people like across the board have just come too far and inbetween....and labels have realized they can still get women to support bullshyt singles and buy ringtones...labels would rather just have a bunch of fill in/placeholder rappers...instead of try to develop artist or push street artist they feel don't have potential to crossover and get that white people money...the streets and black women aint good enuff
Labels killed it,rappers was accesorys to murder...nikkas don't even rep no more, they all wanna talk about they own personal lives on wax
...and give us they "journey"...nikka ya journey aint that interesting...you supposed to use ya talents to rep for everybody
...and tell the stories of people more interesting then yourself....but maybe fans fuked that up with that "he aint real enuff to talk about that
" shyt...but in our defense I think people can tell when you just being a reporter and when u tryna pass that life off as your own
...don't let that be all u rap about and I think fans will understant
